Anna's face was serious.
"Since I have spoken of my secret, I must know yours, my student. As you know, there should be no secrets between teacher and student."
Ryan frowned.
"What are you saying? And who told you to tell me your secret? I didn't ask for it, and besides, it's not a secret."
Anna's face was serious and she did not back down.
Ryan sighed.
"It's not like I have any secrets. What do you want to know?"
Anna smiled.
"You said before that you would take revenge. Who exactly will you take revenge on?"
Ryan made no expression.
"I don't want revenge anymore."
Anna was slightly surprised by his words.
"After all the shouting and commotion you've caused, now you don't want revenge?"
Ryan shrugged.
"It's not that I don't want to, it's just that I can't."
Anna looked at Ryan and shook her head.
"The person you want revenge on seems very powerful."
Ryan's eyes narrowed slightly, and a look of surprise crossed his face.
"And how do you know that?"
Anna shrugged.
"Of course I'd know. Your revenge is supposed to be related to your scars, and if the person who caused them wasn't so strong, he'd be dead by your sisters by now."
Ryan listened to her opinion and she had a point of view.
"You're too smart for a princess."
Anna looked at him in surprise.
"Do you think that all people in positions of power don't think?"
Ryan shrugged.
"Of course I thought so. Anyone with a position of power will eventually become rude."
Ryan's view was that no noble person succeeded not because of their ability but because of their blood; of course, this was due to the novels he had read in his past life.
'But why...'
In his past life, anyone who used fire or ice was called a wizard, but he had not yet encountered that word in this world.
So he decided to ask Anna now
"Anna, do you know what the word 'wizard' means?"
But in a split second, Anna's hand closed his mouth, her eyes wide.
"Where did you hear that word?"
Then she shook her head.
"No, it doesn't matter where you heard it, the important thing is don't say it again in front of anyone, understand?"
Ryan didn't understand why, why that word was forbidden to say, and why Anna was so nervous about it.
Anna looked around to see if anyone was nearby, then sighed and removed her hand from Ryan's mouth.
"I'll say it just once, listen carefully, the word 'witch' is forbidden in this country or anywhere else, and if anyone hears you talking about it, they may execute you and your family, so be careful."
Ryan shook his head.
"But why..."
Anna shook her head and clasped her hands.
"I don't know, it's been like this since this kingdom or continent began. I don't know how you learned about this word, but be careful, if the Observers hear you, you and your family could be finished."
Ryan repeated her words:
"The Observers"
Anna continued,
"Yes, the Watchers are people tasked with killing anyone who knows about that word, and they are scattered throughout the kingdom."
Ryan thought:
'Of course, a word can't exist if it has no definition or use, but since it's forbidden, it has a meaning. But what is it?'
He looked Anna in the eyes.
'She said that from the beginning this word was forbidden, meaning that the person who coined this word forbade it for some reason.'
Ryan looked puzzled.
"You said it was forbidden from the start, so how did you find out about it?"
Anna wasn't nervous and simply said,
"I can't tell you."
Ryan's eyes widened, then he frowned and pointed at her.
"Weren't you the one who said there shouldn't be any secrets between us?"
Anna shrugged.
"These are secrets on another level. Now let's go, we have to have breakfast."
Ryan's mouth was open as he watched her walk away.
Anna stopped, turned, and looked at him.
"Aren't you coming?"
Ryan frowned, then sighed.
"Coming."
He approached her, walked beside her, and they returned to the camp.
