Chapter 63 - Dawn Blade

Ryan, Elsa, and Anna walked with the Frost Soldiers to the city gate.

Ryan glanced at Elisa, who looked away when she noticed him looking at her.

'What's wrong with her?'

'She kept looking at me the whole way to Aho because of what happened yesterday?.'

He looked away from her and continued walking. After covering the distance between them and the city gate, they reached the horses' position.

Then Anna spoke, looking at Ryan:

"Elisa will ride with me since she's a girl, but you can ride with anyone."

Ryan didn't complain, nodded in agreement, and headed towards the nearest rider, asking for a ride.

When she saw him, Anna frowned.

"That rascal! Was riding with me so annoying that he had to leave the step to go without saying a word?"

Elisa looked at me with a surprised expression.

Anna noticed this and smiled at her.

"So shall we go?"

Then she lifted her onto the horse.

Anna got on and began to move forward.

*************

After a few minutes, Ryan looked behind him. They were moving away from the city walls, the first city he had entered after the one he lived in in this world.

And now the march began again towards the academy and the march towards the capital.

**************

The day ended and night fell , their journey had been peaceful throughout the day and there were no difficulties.

The soldiers had pitched their tents, so Ryan ate his dinner, which consisted of soup and a piece of bread.

From what he heard, soup was the least expensive thing soldiers could eat, especially if they weren't allocated money.

Ryan, however, wasn't bothered. True, he ate so much soup he hated the sight of it, but he'd eat it anyway since it was the only thing available.

After his dinner, Ryan returned to his tent and fell asleep so he could wake up early tomorrow to meet Anna.

****************

The next morning, as the sun rose, Ryan stood in front of Anna.

Anna yawned.

"So, how much better are you now?"

Ryan approached her and raised his right hand, and after a few seconds his veins began to turn blue.

My eyes widened and I whistled.

"You really did it."

But Ryan didn't stop there; he jumped because Anna was taller than him and threw a punch towards her face.

In his opinion, his punch was ten times faster than a normal punch.

But Anna wasn't bothered and easily dodged his punch, hitting him on the head instead.

Ryan clutched his head in pain and sat down on the ground.

"You rascal! How dare you target my face?"

But Ryan caught a glimpse of her smile.

"But your punch was fast, how long could you hold it off?"

Ryan stood up and replied,

"Seven minutes."

Anna smiled.

"Good thing, now hold this."

Then she threw her sword at him.

"What is this?"

"It's a sword, you idiot!"

'Is this woman joking with me?'

"I know it's a sword, but why are you giving it to me?"

Anna yawned again.

"It's your sword now, and you'll be training with it every day, so take good care of it."

Ryan looked at the sword with excitement. Its scabbard was snow-white, and its hilt was made of black iron wrapped in a blue band.

Ryan drew the sword from its scabbard, and upon seeing it, his eyes sparkled.

It was white. Ryan didn't know what it was made of, but the sword was completely white and featured a single-edged, curved blade.

It resembled the katana from his previous world.

Anna saw his enthusiasm, which made her smile.

"Did you like it?"

Ryan coughed twice.

"Are you sure you want to give me this sword?"

Anna waved her hand.

"Just take it, and also, that little one's name is Dawn Blade Take good care of him."

She left while Ryan kept looking at Saif and whispered

"Dawn Blade"
