Chapter 62 - Elisa's farewell

A knock at the door made Ryan look around and see from the window that night had fallen.

He trained between circulating his energy and making his veins blue all day and he was very tired

But that wasn't without benefit; when his veins turned blue, they no longer hurt, but he could always feel their pulse. So he decided to call it the pulse of power, since the pulse of these veins gave him tremendous strength.

He went to the door and opened it to find a servant standing in front of his room. The servant bowed.

"Sir, your dinner is ready."

Ryan was surprised.

"But I didn't ask for anything."

The servant handed him the tray.

"Miss Anna ordered that dinner be taken to you."

Ryan took the tray.

"Thank you."

The waiter gave him a smile.

"Enjoy your dinner."

Ryan closed the door and headed towards the bed.

'I'll go to sleep right after eating. I'm so tired.'

His dinner consisted of a fried piece of beef, some vegetables, and mashed potatoes and a piece of bread

Ryan ate his entire dinner, lay down contentedly on his bed, and closed his eyes.

Tomorrow they will head towards the capital

**************

Ryan opened the door and looked back at the room where he had slept for two days. He was a little disappointed.

"It was a very comfortable place, unfortunately we only stayed for two days."

He closed the door behind him and headed towards the main hotel entrance. After a few minutes of walking, he emerged from a hotel where all the Frost Knights were gathered.

And also a glimpse of Serissa chariot.

'Where was she for these past two days?'

He never saw Serissa enter a hotel, so he didn't know if she stayed there or somewhere else.

But after a few seconds he no longer cared, because of course he wouldn't ask the soldiers where their princess had been.

Anna noticed him, so he headed towards her.

Anna noticed his arrival.

"Did you sleep well, boy?"

Ryan nodded.

"Yes."

Anna smiled slightly.

"Good, we're waiting for Elisa to arrive; she will be out in a few minutes."

But after she spoke, her gaze shifted to someone behind Ryan.

"Have you arrived?"

Ryan looked behind him.

Elisa was with her parents

Anna looked at them.

"Then you must say goodbye to your parents. We have to go now."

Elisa looked at her father and then her mother, her eyes trembling.

After what happened yesterday, she was a little afraid to leave the house, but what happened made her realize her weakness and helplessness.

But all her fears vanished when her mother hugged her and whispered,

"Didn't you want to go? Go and become stronger, then come back so you won't be kidnapped again."

Elisa looked into her mother's eyes with a sharp, determined gaze and nodded.

Then she looked at her father, who gave her a warm smile and patted her head.

"If anything happens, call us. I've placed a communication crystal among your belongings."

Upon hearing this, she frowned and grumbled,

"Didn't I say I don't want anything? Besides, the crystal is too expensive!"

But her father's smile never left his face, and he spoke jokingly:

"I really didn't know that."

Her frown deepened, but her father pushed her towards Ryan and Anna.

"Now just go, or I might change my mind and not let you go."

Alith and Serene looked at Anna.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of her."

Serene said,

"We know that."

Elisa looked at her parents one last time, tears welling in her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away.

'I promised myself yesterday I wouldn't cry.'

"I'm going"

Her parents just shook their heads. Elisa turned and started walking towards the city gate with Anna, Ryan, and the Frost Knights.

The parents watched their daughter walk away until she disappeared from their sight.

After his daughter left, Alith began to cry. His wife looked at him.

"Why are you crying now?"

He wiped away his tears.

"I didn't want to cry in front of her."

Serene sighed.

"It's not like we'll never see her again. She'll be back home in a year."

Alith remembered that.

"Ah, right."

The parents returned to their hotel, but it was empty, as if something was missing.
