Chapter 61 - option

Ryan was walking down the hotel lobby towards Alith's office

He was thinking about the conversation that had taken place between him and his sister.

'Do I just have to forget about that prince and be grateful that I escaped death?'

This was the best option, as he might never meet that prince again, and he also didn't have the strength to face an entire kingdom.

Killing a prince of a kingdom, or even speaking rudely to him, could lead to his execution and that of his family.

'I have to become strong.'

This was his primary goal, which is why he enrolled in the academy. Even his energy cycle slowed down over time, so he's been stuck at level two since waking from his coma.

But he didn't start recycling his energy until a year and two months later because his body hurt for some reason when he did so.

'Was it because my body was weak?'

His sister's talk about killing anyone who might try to harm or bother him is true, but he remains skeptical.

'Do I need to change my view of this world?'

After speaking with his sister, he wondered if he should become someone different from his usual self—someone who would intervene if he saw injustice and be more forgiving, since he had been suppressing these feelings and didn't like interfering in things that didn't concern him and might lead to him being harmed.

Even his final intervention, in which he killed the kidnapper, was due to that memory.

'Will I be able to control myself if that memory resurfaces?'

Ryan stopped and looked at the door in front of him; he had arrived at Alith's office.

Ryan knocked on the door twice, then heard Aleth's voice telling him to come in.

"Come in."

Ryan walked in to see Anna and Aleth inside the office.

'I have to apologize to her.'

He had previously lost his temper with Anna even though she hadn't done anything wrong.

"I came to return this."

He opened his hand so that the crystal of communication would appear.

Then Ryan stepped forward and gave Aleth the crystal.

"How was your conversation with your sister?"

Ryan didn't want to prolong the conversation, so he answered with minimal effort:

"Good, then I'll go back to my room."

He turned and started walking.

Anna looked at Alith.

"So I'm going, and we're leaving tomorrow too, so try to calm Elisa down."

Alith shook his head, then Anna went out and followed Ryan.

"Wait, boy."

Ryan turned to look at Anna; her face was calm, unlike the tense face he had seen earlier during their conversation.

But before Anna could speak, Ryan lowered his head and said,

"I'm sorry, I lost my temper a little while ago."

Anna looked at him for a few seconds.

"Don't worry, if I had been upset by what you said, I would have just hit you."

Ryan became slightly flustered and looked at Anna.

"What, can't I hit you?"

Ryan denied that.

"Of course you can if you do something wrong, of course."

Anna smiled.

"So, are you calm now?"

Ryan nodded.

"Yes."

"Good, go back to your room and don't leave it today. We'll leave tomorrow morning, and also don't forget, the day after tomorrow I'll see your progress in training."

"Okay."

Then Ryan began walking towards his room.

***************

Ryan returned to his room

"Do I need to practice a little?"

Ryan formed a ball of ice in his hand and then kicked the ice away.

The ball disappeared and Ryan began to suppress those blue veins; he felt as if his veins were about to burst.

He could feel his veins throb and he felt pain.

'I have to endure it.'

He bit his lip and endured.

One minute, two... seven minutes

The veins disappeared, and sweat trickled down his face; even the hand he was using was trembling slightly.

"Ugh, this is difficult."

He sat on his bed and began to circulate his energy; after an hour he returned to his blue vein suppression training.

After seven minutes, he resumed his energy cycle for an hour and remained in this cycle until dinnertime.
