Keifer's Pov:
Keifer: "I will go to Spain as you said"
David: "That's nice, Take care of yourself and live a little"
Keifer: "Okay, also take care of Jay she went through a lot"
he nodded his head,
David : "Don't you think you should talk to her about everything"
Keifer: "I tried but she is not ready to listen, as you said she needs space, I will come and take care of it, In the mean time don't try to talk to her about this "
he stared at me , I know him well enough to understand what that look meant,
Keifer: "Promise me you aren't going to meddle"
David: "Okay fine mister"
Jay's Pov
I went to the office after my leave, my mind was still all around the places, but I cannot keep running from him especially if he is my boss, I went to work, but I did not see him in the office, maybe he is taking rest, after all he needed it but I also wanted to know how he was, David was also not around so I wasn't able to ask him. It happened for 2 days, but I really wanted to know if he is alright, because its killing me not knowing how he was especially after the accident, I finally saw David, I stopped him because I have work related queries with him, after that I just stood there hesitating to ask him,
Jay: "How is he?"
David: "He is alright now, He went to Spain to meet Keiren"
It relieved me knowing he was alright and also he was Keiren, it means he must be alright. My heart felt light after knowing that.
Keifer's Pov
As David said I decide to leave for Spain for a week, I went there to spend some time with Keiren, and also to give Jay a break from myself, but I did not stop thinking about, I also wished If she just noticed my absence and maybe thought how was I.
I came after spending a week with Keiren in Spain, it made my heart a little light after everything that transpired, I wanted to see Jay, I did not see her for a whole week and when I came back today I had meetings back to back so I did not get an opportunity to see Jay, but I was waiting for the meetings to get over so I could get a glimpse of her, I was behaving like a kid waiting to go home but it was actually kind of true because she is my home, at least she talks to me.
When the meeting was over I got excited , I quickly shut my laptop but then I saw the time, it was past 10, she would have left, my smile vanished at that thought because, I wasn't able to have a conversation with her today, even if she just shouts at me.
I decided to leave the office and I came out of the cabin and it was dark except for the dim light coming from the corner, I went towards it and saw Jay was sleeping with her head down on the table with all the sketches around her, she must have slept while working, I Admired her her because she was looking cute and I slowly went towards. Her hair was falling in her face and my hands itched to move them to get a view of her beautiful face.
My hands slowly moved, but it trembled and shaking because I don't know why, because she felt like that was something scared. I finally moved her hair and her sleep got disturbed and she woke up and I immediately removed my hands.
Jay's Pov
I woke up because I felt someone touched my hair and it felt familiar, I opened my eyes to see Keifer standing there,
He quickly moved his hand when I woke up and I was angry,
Jay: "What were you doing?" I shouted at him
Keifer: "Jay, I was jus" I interrupt him
Jay: "What? this how you go and behave with your employees when no one is around?"
Keifer: "No No, I just wanted
Jay: "You take advantage of your employees like this"
Keifer: "Jay, you know me I am not like that,"
Jay: "How am I supposed to know, I thought I knew you but you turned out to be a completely different person and How hell will I know How much you have changed in all these years"
I know what I said was so rude and normally I wouldn't talk like that but maybe the trauma of facing harassement in my early day came out and also the built up anger was coming all at once.
Keifer: "Is that what you really think of me?" He asked with tears in his eyes
Jay: "You are not someone I think worthy of my time to think off"
Keifer: "So I am no one to you?" he asked with his voice breaking
Jay: "You are just My boss that's it, And you wouldn't even be that if I was not under certain circumstances"
I shouted and he flinched and somewhere in my heart it ached a little seeing him like this, but why I should I feel bad for him after all the things he did to me.
Suddenly David came,
David: "Okay that's enough, Keifer Leave this place and Miss Ashtine you have crossed the line today"
Keifer: "No, It was my fault she didn't do anything"
David: "Okay, it's fine come let's leave" he said and took Keifer with him.
And I heaved a sigh, to calm myself down and I sat on the chair again, I realised that I was too rude to him but it was my way of protecting myself after being a subject to being harassed, so even when I am sleeping I stay alert to keep myself safe, After sometime I heard Some footsteps, I turned to see it was David.
I quickly got up and I was about to leave and he held my hand and said
David: "We need to talk"
Jay: "I don't have anything to talk with you or your friend"
David: "No, You have to listen, Because you need know how much you are hurting him." I gave him an unbelievable look
Jay: "Are you for serious? He is the one who left me in the middle of the night, when I had nowhere to go, He said he couldn't care about me right now and now he is coming and acting like everything is good and expect us to go where we were and giving those longing looks as if I was the one who left him.
You know that I was in a new city all alone without anyone to lean onto and being betrayed by the only person I loved, You know how many humiliations and harassment I faced when I first came here, I was scared and I had no one and I had learn it all alone. You would never understand because you did not face it" I said wiping my tears.
David stool still and continued,
David: "I am not denying any of it, But you still don't know anything about him"
Jay: "All that I know is he abandoned me and that is more than enough" I shouted
David: "That is where you are wrong" he shouted back
Jay : "What do you mean?" I was confused when he said that.
