Silas swallowed the last bite of food and took the last sip of orange juice.
"Alice, I'm going and playing a few rounds with Emmett."
Alice, who was sitting and talking to Bella, looked over and nodded.
"I will come over in a while."
Silas hummed in acknowledgement and then walked towards Emmett's man cave.
When he arrived outside he heard Emmett's relieved voice.
"Who~ that was close. You're getting better… or maybe it was just luck, hehe." He said and finished with an awkward laugh.
Silas smirked as he walked in.
It's starting to dawn on Emmett that Rosalie is getting better and it's not long before he can't win.
Silas sat down in his usual spot.
Rosalie noticed him and threw over the controller.
"I don't wanna play anymore." She mumbled and walked out.
Emmett looked at Rosalie's back then turned to Silas.
"Let's go for a few rounds."
Silas smiled and started to choose his character.
"Sure… but don't regret it later."
Emmett's lip twitched.
You don't have to be so cocky…
After Silas picked his character they were ready to begin.
As expected Silas kept winning, sometime during their bout, Alice walked in.
She walked over and sat down next to Silas, watching them play back and forth. Alice got a little bored.
So she leaned her head on Silas's shoulder.
When Silas felt Alice's head weigh down on his shoulder he got a little distracted, and thus Emmett won that round.
Silas glanced at Alice, but when his eyes met her innocent ones, he couldn't blame her.
"When were we supposed to play baseball?" Silas asked as Emmett loaded another round.
"We're supposed to leave in two hours." Alice said, then she smirked.
"I've gotten you some baseball clothes." She said teasingly.
Silas raised an eyebrow.
"Hope it's nothing embarrassing."
Alice pinched his side.
"What do you think of me?" Alice was a little angry he thought that about her.
"Would I embarrass you?"
Silas smiled apologetically.
"Yeah, sorry, my fault."
Alice nodded.
"Indeed."
Just then.
"Hey! You two, the round is starting, focus."
Silas winked at Alice then got ready for the round. He couldn't let Emmett win anymore, lest his ego got too inflated.
Alice kept watching their match with a bored expression, they had played this game the entire night.
Couldn't they play something else?
She felt that it was fun to watch in the beginning but now it's just monotonous.
In this boringness time passed and soon it was time for baseball.
Rosalie walked in and threw a baseball shirt and cap at Emmett.
"Emmett, it's time, Alice, Silas, you two."
Hearing that they all stood up and walked towards the living room.
Alice ran away before they arrived, she said she was going to get his baseball clothes.
Silas was just praying that they looked normal.
Watching everyone else who was switched into baseball clothes Silas got slightly excited.
It was gonna be fun to play.
Just then he heard some light and excited footsteps, he turned around and looked towards the entrance.
Alice walked in, she herself had switched into some white shoes, tight black pants, a black longsleeved sports shirt, a white baseball vest and a cap.
In her hands she held a white jersey with black lines going vertically across, there was no text, just a Nike logo.
And a black cap, similar to hers… well practically the same.
She smiled at him and handed it over.
"Here, switch fast."
Silas held the jersey in his left hand and cap in his right.
Well… it wasn't too bad, he had been lucky.
So he walked towards the bathroom and changed quickly.
When he walked into the living room again everyone was looking.
Whistle~
Emmett made a teasing whistle sound, and the rest of the cullens just smiled.
What was so funny?
"What?"
They all shook their heads.
"Nothing." They all said in unison.
Silas rolled his eyes at them, he had already checked, there was nothing wrong with what he was wearing.
They were just messing with him.
Alice walked up and started to fiddle with his cap.
"Don't you know how to put it on properly?."
Silas shook his shoulders.
"Isn't it on?"
Alice curled her lips.
"It's your long hair, it's in the way."
Silas chose to ignore her comment and let her fix it.
"So… that's good."
Silas looked over at the mirror and stared deadpan.
Nothing was different, she just touched it and moved it around for the sake of doing it.
After that they all headed down towards the cars.
Silas helped load all the equipment.
Baseball bats, balls, checkpoints, etc.
Silas then got in the backseat of the jeep, Alice got in beside him.
"Are you excited?" She asked with a beaming smile.
Silas wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into a half hug.
"Yes, and don't worry, we're gonna wipe the floor with them."
Alice chuckled.
"I hope so… otherwise I won't give you any kisses."
Silas leaned in and whispered in her ear.
"Yes, you will."
Alice just kept smiling.
"You're right."
Silas poked her side lightly.
"Of course I'm right."
Just then Emmett sat down in the front seat.
"Get a room you two."
Rosalie got in the passenger seat.
"Shut up, Emmett, can't you see that they're having a romantic moment?"
Emmett scoffed.
"I can see that, that's the problem, I don't want to see that."
Rosalie rolled her eyes.
"Just shut up."
Emmett started the car.
"Just do this, just do that." He said in an annoying tone.
Roslies head snapped towards him, then she hit his arm.
"Shut up, you big idiot."
"Ouch~ You didn't need to hit me!"
Rosalie glared at him.
"Yes, I did."
Silas and Alice in the back seat were just sitting there looking at this quietly.
They didn't know how it came to this.
One second they were being all sweet and the next they were spectating an argument between an old married couple.
Life plays.
You never know what will happen next.
Alice leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Should we step in?"
Silas narrowed his eyes, then leaned in and whispered in response.
"No… we don't wanna get shot at."
Alice nodded.
"You're right."
So in the end they just kept watching Emmett and Rosalie going at each other's throats.
Just then Carlisle walked up to the driver's window.
They just started the car, they never started to drive.
"Are you two done?" Carlisle asked.
Just then Emmett and Rosalie seemed to have found a new target, so they turned to him and said in unison.
"No!" 2x
Carlisle was taken aback. No need to yell.
"Well, we need to go, so how about you two argue on the way?"
They both clicked their tongues at the same time.
"Tsk." 2x
"Fine, let's go." Emmett said and put the car in drive.
