Looking out of the window and watching the trees pass by was quite relaxing.
Silas rubbed Alice's back, whilst enjoying the view of the forest.
Just then Emmett started to slow down.
"What's going on?" Silas asked, there was no road here.
Emmett looked in the rear view mirror and smiled.
"Brother, don't worry, we're just turning."
Silas raised an eyebrow.
"Turning where?"
Emmett put the palm of his hand on the steering wheel and started to turn it.
"We are turning left."
Before he knew it they drove of the asphalt road and onto a muddy tractor road… if it could even be called that.
Emmett then turned his head and said teasingly.
"Why did you think we needed the jeep?"
Silas glared at him and said.
"Luggage."
"Hahah…" Emmett laughed.
"Don't worry we'll soon be there."
Silas nodded, he felt tricked, and then he glanced down at Alice who had closed her eyes, but she still had a slight smile on her lips.
He wasn't only tricked, he was also betrayed.
Sigh.
I feel like Julius Caesar who was betrayed by Brutus.
But even Ceasar wasn't as sad as me…
Silas grumbled in his heart.
Just then Alice got close to his ear and whispered.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist seeing you tricked, hehe."
Silas rolled his eyes.
The traitors are in the front, on the sides, and even behind you.
How are you supposed to protect yourself?
Silas glanced at the smug Alice who was still in his arms, and a mischievous smile formed on his lips.
He moved his hand to her waist and pitched it lightly.
Alice glanced up at him with narrowed eyes, clearly she was displeased.
"Stop…"
Silas shook his head.
"Don't wanna."
Alice pouted and buried her face in his chest.
Seeing her like this Silas couldn't bear to keep pitching her, even though he knew it didn't hurt.
In the front seat Emmett muttered to Rosalie.
"See? They're doing it again."
Rosalie glared at him.
"Just be quiet."
Seeing that Rosalie didn't back him up, Emmett felt wronged.
Not even his own wife supported him.
He felt like Julius Caesar betrayed by Brutus.
Without knowing it, both Emmett and Silas felt betrayed.
But they hadn't really been betrayed, they were just drama queens.
Or where they…?
Before long they arrived in an open field, it was a bit wet and muddy.
Emmett drove towards one end of the field and then stopped.
A few seconds later another car stopped behind them.
It was the rest of the Cullens.
They all stepped out of the cars and started to unpack.
Emmett and Jasper ran around putting out the various bases.
First base, second base, third base, and the home base.
Then slowly the game came together.
"Come here, come here." Carlisle said.
"Let's divide into teams."
He looked over all the family members and then started to divide them, Silas ended up with Alice, of course.
His team also got Emmett, and Esme.
Silas's team started as the defense, so they had to choose a catcher.
"Alright, who wanna catch?" Emmett asked as they gathered in a ring.
Seeing that no one stepped forward Esme did.
"I'll do it."
"I don't wanna run around anyway."
Everyone nodded.
Alice reached up her hand.
"I wanna be the pitcher."
Emmett and Silas nodded.
"Alright, I guess we'll catch the balls then."
Soon everyone started to get into position.
Esme had made Bella the judge, umpire, whatever you wanna call it.
Seeing that everyone was in position Carlisle called out.
"Everyone ready!?"
"Yeah!" The rest answered.
Carlisle clapped his hands once at the response then took his position as the batter.
Alice saw him ready and got in position.
She raised her leg high, then in one fluid throwing motion, threw the ball.
It flew at superhuman speeds towards Carlisle, even the best human batter could never hit it.
Then barely a second after the ball left Alice's hand, a loud bang rang out.
Like thunder had struck down.
Bella covered her ears and looked at the now empty position, the bat hit the ground.
She looked up and saw that Carlisle was already a third of the way.
Meanwhile Emmett ran back a couple of meters then jumped up and catched the ball.
Before he hit the ground he threw it towards Silas.
Silas was already at first base and caught the ball.
"Out!"
Carlisle was just at the edge, but Bella the umpire still called him.
So one out to the defenders.
Next up was Jasper.
He stepped up and threw the bat in the air, making a move to show off.
Alice got ready to throw the ball. Silas and Emmett had also switched places.
Now Silas was gonna catch the ball and throw it to Emmett who was at first base.
Silas stared intently at Jasper as Alice threw the ball.
Jasper hit the ball thrown by Alice with great force, sending it high up in the air.
Just as it was about to fly into the air Silas jumped onto a branch with unimaginable speed, then light as a feather he took a leap from one of the branches.
He flew up, grabbed the ball, then threw it straight at Emmett, with a little telekinesis, it landed squarely in Emmett's hands.
Was it cheating? No, just really good skills… maybe.
When he landed Jasper was already sulking after being outed.
Emmett and Silas switched places and Edward stepped forward as the batsman.
Edward hit the ball thrown by Alice with great precision sending it flying through the air.
Emmett wasn't idle, and ran after it, but sadly the ball flew into the woods.
This slowed down Emmett considerably, so when the ball landed in Silas's hands, Edward had already ran a lap.
Silas cursed.
Now the offensive team has one point.
Damn Emmett.
They switched places again, now Silas was going after the ball, and Emmett was catching it.
Silas watched Rosalie step forward and get into position for hitting the ball.
He stared intently at Alice, he was ready to follow the ball's trajectory from the source.
Never that they get another point.
Alice threw the ball at great speeds, sending it flying towards Rosalie.
Rosalie swung the bat with unbelievable force hitting the ball square on.
A loud bang rang out through the forest, reverberating against the mountains and valleys.
Silas watched the ball fly towards the woods and quickly ran after, he was determined to not let another point go to the offensive team.
Meanwhile Rosalie was already a third of the way, running as fast as she could.
She glanced over at Silas and felt slightly relieved that he hadn't caught the ball yet.
Silas wasn't ignorant of Rosalie's progression.
Finally he caught the ball and sent it flying towards Emmett.
He had to out her!
...
Enjoy. Mwah~
