Arriving at home Silas was just about to enter when he felt something.
He turned around and spotted a silhouette at the treeline.
Silas narrowed his eyes warily.
"Viktor… stop hiding and come out." He said in a cold tone.
Viktor who was hesitating to step forward heard his master's voice and lowered his head and walked over.
"Sir… I was just wondering if it was time for me to come back home… it's been two days."
Silas heard his question and nodded.
"Yeah, it was decided on two days, so two days it is."
Viktor raised his head with wide eyes, and a smile formed on his lips.
"Thank you, master. You won't regret it."
Silas opened the front door, when he heard that.
"Don't say stuff like that… or I really will start to regret it."
Viktor shut up and nodded.
They had just stepped inside when Silas stopped dead in his tracks, and a serious expression appeared on his face.
Viktor was confused. Had he done something wrong?
But just as he was about to start apologizing he heard it.
Footsteps… low, but there.
He turned to look out the window towards the forest.
Silas turned to look at Viktor.
"Friends of yours?" He asked.
Viktor shook his head.
"No…"
Silas turned to look out the window.
"So they are unwelcome guests… with malicious intent?"
Viktor nodded.
Silas turned back and looked at him.
"And what do we do with such people?"
Viktor hesitated for a second. Then steeled himself and said in a low tone.
"We chase such rude people away."
A small smile formed on Silas's face as he turned to walk upstairs.
"You know what to do… I trust you can take care of these ones."
Viktor smiled.
"Don't worry, master. I will take good care of them."
…
In the forest close to the Immortal Mansion.
"James, are you sure about this? We are very close to the Cullens abode."
Laurent asked with a worried expression.
James glanced back.
"Don't worry about the Cullens, they are a disgrace to vampires… think more about how delicious our next meal will be."
He said with a fanatical smile.
They had been passing by when he smelled this mouth watering smell. There lived a human here, a special human.
Hmm. It smelled so good. He took a deep breath.
Just then Victoria, who had been quietly listening to their conversation, stopped.
Laurent and James noticed and stopped as well.
"What's wrong Victoria?" Laurent asked.
James just tilted his head slightly, clearly he wanted to know the same thing.
Victoria was quiet for a few seconds.
"I felt a threat of death… just now."
The expression on James and Laurent's faces changed, turning solemn.
They both knew of Victoria's powers. Her survival instincts were truly turned to the max.
If she felt the threat of death… it had to be serious. But what could it be?
Just then they heard a branch crack in the forest to their right.
They quickly lowered their stance and got in position.
But it was too late… all they saw was a blur heading straight for James.
Before he knew it, he was sent flying through the air and hitting a tree, breaking it in half.
"James!" Victoria screamed.
Laurent however was much less concerned about his partner… and much more concerned with the man in front of him.
He stood there calmly, like it wasn't just him that sent a person flying a good fifty meters.
This was very dangerous… and he knew it. Especially that speed, he could barely catch his figure.
It was Viktor of course.
He had just heard James talking arrogantly about eating his master. How could he stay calm?
He had to teach this arrogant fool where he belonged.
Viktor turned calmly and looked at the remaining two vampires.
"It's quite rude of you to intrude on my masters territory like this…"
Laurent snapped back.
"Oh~ We didn't know this was your territory. We ask for forgiveness." Laurent said politely, with a slight bow.
Just then James returned, his hair was a mess, and his face was contorted in a ferocious expression.
He wanted to tear this bastard to pieces. How dare he?
Just then Viktor glanced over at him and narrowed his eyes slightly.
Insolent creature.
Viktor straightened his posture and fixed his clothes, then he turned back to Laurent and said.
"Apology accepted."
Hearing that Laurent breathed a sigh of relief. He now wanted to leave here as fast as possible.
He didn't think they three could best this man. He was too strong… and Victoria's sense of danger had confirmed that.
Since she hadn't spoken, the threat must still be there.
Laurent grabbed James shoulder and pulled him along, they were leaving.
But just then.
"Did I say you could leave?" Viktor asked playfully.
Laurent snapped around, his expression serious… this was bad.
"Sir… we have already apologized for intruding on your Cullen territory."
Silence filled the space between them.
"What?" Viktor said.
Laurent didn't spare a second.
"I said… Sir, we have already apologized for intruding on your Culle…" But a loud shut interrupted him.
Viktor's expression twisted into one of anger and shame.
"Who's territory!?"
Laurent was confused.
"The Cullens… didn't you say we had intruded on your master territory, this is the Cullens territory… so?"
Viktor's brows furrowed together. The more he listened the angrier he got.
"Aren't you a Cullen servant?" Laurent asked, confused.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
"How dare you!? You insolent wretched bottom feeder, compare my master to them?" Viktor was fuming.
His worst nightmare was to become a servant to the Cullens.
He would rather his master killed him and hung his head on the wall.
Laurent was taken aback. A bad feeling was brewing.
This… doesn't seem good.
"Sir… we apologize for any disrespect." But before he could continue.
Viktor looked at James and said.
"First this trash dared to talk about eating my master… then you compare my master to those Cullens."
Viktor stared at Laurent.
"This disrespect… I can't swallow it."
Laruent knew that a battle was inevitable and got into position, but it happened too fast.
Viktor flashed over towards him, but at the last moment changed his trajectory to Victoria.
He was going to end this pariah first… he had noticed she had an ability, he didn't know what it was, but he didn't want any surprises.
Victoria was confused and surprised. Why me?
Viktor's fist landed on her stomach before she could raise her guard.
She simply wasn't ready for such a feint.
Laurent wasn't either.
He watched with a sense of deja vu as Victoria was sent through the air and then through a tree.
"You have no martial ethics." Laurent exclaimed.
Viktor turned to him and sneered.
You're next.
He pounced towards Laruent, reaching for his arm.
This one… he wasn't going to leave whole.
...
Enjoy. Mwah~
