Arriving in front of the Cullen house Silas turned around the car and looked at Alice.
He saw that she was looking at him as well.
They locked eyes and smiled, Alice leaned in and gave Silas a kiss.
"See you tomorrow." She said and opened the door.
"Yes. See you tomorrow." Silas responded.
He could tell Alice was reluctant to leave earlier.
But… he wasn't sure about letting her stay. Was it moving too fast?
Alice of course understood his thoughts. She was very perceptive.
But clearly she was still disappointed to leave.
He watched as she opened the front door of her house, then turned around and waved before closing it.
A few seconds passed and he still hadn't driven off. Just then a knock sounded on the passenger door window.
He had felt someone approaching but ignored it. He turned his head and looked.
It was Emmett.
They locked eyes and Emmett opened the door and sat down.
"What's up? Are you dropping off Alice?"
Silas nodded.
"Yeah."
Emmett chuckled.
"Good."
Silas raised an eyebrow. No, brother, what do you mean?
Emmett saw that and waved his arms.
"No, nothing like that."
"It was just that there was a bet if she would sleep over at your place or if you would drive her home."
Silas was confused.
"Bet? Among who?"
Emmett smiled.
"The entire family."
"And, Ella, Rosalie, Esme, Carlisle and Edward bet that she would stay at your place for the night."
"Only me and Jasper bet that you would drive her back."
Emmett smiled.
"I, of course, knew you were a gentleman, and Jasper did as well."
Silas raised an eyebrow. Really?
He let out a laugh.
"It's good, you know." Silas said.
They exchanged a few more words before Emmett got out and Silas drove off.
He had to remember to sign that permission slip when he got home.
It would be awkward if he had to stay at school while the rest went to that green house.
He didn't care for the green house. But he did care about conformity.
Not because of peer pressure. But more out of the convenience it brought.
He didn't have to bother with so much if he was part of the mass.
Then again he didn't mind going to this green house. If he did he wouldn't care about conformity.
To hell with it.
When he got home he simply cleaned up. Aka, he put the chip bowl in the sink and the soda can in the trash.
To be honest. Usually having friends over means cleaning, a lot of cleaning, especially if you've been drinking.
But with Alice it was spotless. Actually, all things considered, it was cleaner than it was before she was here.
There were no dirty glasses, only one dirty chip bowl, and only one chip bowl.
It was like the host's dream.
After praising how good it was to have a vampire as guest.
He then did his nightly routine and went to bed.
There is a big day tomorrow.
Waking up in the morning Silas groggily walked to the bathroom and took a shower.
When he stepped out he was completely awake, he dried himself off and headed to the closet.
Silas looked at the piles of clothes and nodded to himself.
Although he is reluctant to admit it… this was easier.
After grabbing a pair of dark grey jeans and a white half zip he walked out.
When he arrived down stairs fully dressed, he quickly threw a sandwich together and ate it.
Like usual.
Although this life is kinda boring and uneventful. It has charm.
He looked at his phone and realized it was time to go.
Unhurriedly he grabbed his keys and phone.
Then he put the plate in the sink and walked out.
When he sat down in the car he also called Kate to see if she had recovered.
He didn't think so… but you never know.
The ringtone was especially loud in the quiet car.
Ring~
A few seconds later.
"Hello?" Kate asked.
Silas raised the phone to his ear.
"Hello, Kate. Are you coming to school today? It's the green house thing."
The line went silent for a few moments.
"No… I'm still sick." Kate responded.
Silas sighed.
He could hear that she wasn't good.
"Alright, get better quickly."
After saying that, he ended the call. I can't waste time on pleasantries.
Silas started the car and drove towards the Cullens house.
A few minutes later he arrived.
After turning around he sent a text to Alice saying that he was here.
Just as he raised his head from looking at his phone, he saw Alice step out of the front door.
She happily walked over and got in, when she sat down she leaned over and gave Silas a kiss.
"Did you sleep well?" She asked while putting on her seat belt.
Silas nodded with a slight smile.
"I did… and the new clothes sorting in the closet made putting on clothes way easier."
Alice raised her head proudly.
"Of course."
Silas let out a laugh, then put the car in gear.
"Are you ready for this greenhouse trip?" Silas asked as he started to drive.
Alice nodded.
"I think it's gonna be fun… maybe."
Silas turned out onto the country road.
"I think that as long as we're together… it won't be boring."
Alice hummed in agreement and took his hand.
"Is Kate also coming?" Alice asked.
"No, I called her earlier, she's still sick." Silas responded.
Hearing that Alice glanced out the window at the passing trees.
She was a little happy that she would be able to do this green house trip with only Silas.
When they pulled into the school parking lot they saw two yellow school buses parked.
"I guess we're going in those…" Silas asked as he looked around for a parking spot.
Alice glanced around and saw their biology teacher standing at the buses.
"Yeah. Mr. Banner is over there."
Silas parking in a parking spot he just found.
"Let's head over there then."
...
Enjoy. Mwah~
