When they sat down in Silas's car Alice was already bumping her leg up and down.
She was excited. Was she finally going to get to see Silas's house? Would she also meet his guardian?
Hmm.
Wonder if his guardian also is a cultivator…?
Questions I hopefully will get answers to.
She looked over at Silas who was putting on his seat belt.
Seeing Alice looking at him Silas smiled.
"Have you picked out a movie to watch later?"
Alice smiled and nodded.
"Yeah."
Hearing her response Silas looked at her questioningly. Asking what movie?
Alice smiled and shook her head.
"I'm not gonna say. It's a surprise."
Silas rolled his eyes and started the car. Hopefully it's not some romance movie.
He slowly rolled out of the parking lot. As he passed a red truck he felt a gaze.
Turning his head he saw Bella staring at him. Clearly she hadn't given up on knowing what Edward was.
Silas sighed. Is she gonna come after me to figure out her little puzzle?
I don't want anything to do with Bella. The neurotic.
Alice also noticed, but she simply smiled and looked over at Silas.
"Can she see us through this window tint?"
Silas glanced over at Alice and shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe a little since the distance isn't far."
Alice turned to look out the window and waved. But she got no response from Bella.
Presumably she couldn't see… or she ignored it. She is socially awkward after all.
After Silas got out onto the road he turned up the music volume.
Alice started to nod her head to the song and it was contagious.
He slowly started to mimic her movements.
Because they were so in their own world Silas actually drove the speed limit.
Which was lucky because a few minutes later they got stopped by the police.
Seeing the lights flash behind him Silas turned down the volume and cursed.
What timing!
He slowed down and found a place he could stop.
Looking in the side view mirror he could see a police officer with a mustache step out of his vehicle and walk up.
Is that Charlie?
Seeing that he was closing in, Silas rolled down the window.
The man stepped up and looked in.
"Hello, kids."
Silas smiled.
"Hello, chief."
Charlie nodded.
"Do you know why I stopped you?"
Silas shook his head. He wasn't driving over the speed limit.
"No."
Charlie nodded.
"These past few weeks we've gotten a lot of reports from citizens that there is a black sedan, presumably BMW, who drives like an idiot."
"Could that be you?"
Me? Silas was confused. No way people actually reported that… right?
Silas put on a confused expression.
"I don't know, chief." He said and shook his head.
Charlie narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"We don't have many black sedans in Forks… at least like how they described it."
Silas curled his lips downward and raised his shoulders.
"I don't know, chief, I'm always law abiding."
"But I hope you catch the idiot and then fine him hard." He said while nodding righteously.
Alice who heard that let out a chuckle but quickly disguised it as a cough.
Charlie looked over then looked back at Silas.
"Right."
"Just drive safe, alright?" Charlie said and prepared to leave.
Silas nodded.
"Of course, chief, I'm always safe." Silas said with a big smile.
Charlie shook his head and walked back to his car. He would ask Bella later if she knew these kids.
Maybe she could talk to them.
Then he remembered her social capabilities and sighed. Forget it.
Silas watched chief Swan drive away. Then he looked over at Alice who burst out laughing.
"You hope to be fined? Hahahah." Alice teased.
Silas just smiled.
"Just laugh… just laugh."
Silas drove off again.
What a pain.
A few minutes later they turned off the country road onto a smaller gravel road.
"Nice road you got." Alice smiled and said.
Silas nodded proudly.
As they drove up to the house Alice couldn't help but be impressed.
"Wow… "
"You live quite lavishly. Don't you?"
Silas shook his head in denial.
"Lavishly? I'm merely bourgeoisie."
Hearing what he said Alice shook her head. Show off.
Silas rolled up and parked in front of the entrance.
He stepped out and walked around to the passenger seat.
As he opened Alice's door he bowed slightly and said in a teasing tone.
"My lady."
Alice giggled and got out.
When Silas closed the door, Alice stepped forward and grabbed his arm.
"Let's go. I want the tour."
They got inside and took off their shoes.
Silas then lead Alice through the house to have a tour.
When they arrived at the last door Alice already knew what room this was.
"So this is your room?" She asked.
Silas smiled and nodded.
"Yeah."
Alice stepped forward and opened the door.
When she stepped inside the first thing she was met by was the smell.
It was a light, cologne-like scent. Very pleasing to the nose.
She then took in the rest of the room.
It was quite minimalistic.
There was a bed, bedside table, desk, and then a couch facing a tv.
To the right of the couch were huge floor to ceiling windows.
When she stood in the door she got a clear view of the windows. Except a couch on the way.
She walked over to the windows and looked out.
"Wow! What a view!" She said.
Silas walked up and hugged her from behind.
"Then you should see it when there's sun."
Alice looked back and gave Silas a light kiss. When the kiss broke she spotted a door she didn't see when she walked in.
"What is that?" She asked.
Silas glanced over.
"That's my closet."
Hearing that Alice broke free from his arms and walked over eagerly.
Let's see what Silas's closet really looks like. Did he sort the clothes they bought well?
Silas shook his head. There's nothing special about it. And you've seen all the clothes inside.
But Alice really is obsessed with fashion.
Even though he complained he obediently followed.
...
Enjoy. Mwah~
