Caesar's eyes scanned the room in search of her, but she still had not made her way back. He decided to actively go searching for her and ended up stumbling across her standing with Sterling. She seemed deeply immersed in the conversation that he gave them a few minutes to talk without interrupting. Not out of the generosity of his heart, but because he wanted to see where this was going.
He never really intended on Sterling finding out about her now, but it really did not matter much. Things had already changed in his tide. That is why even though he knew that man would be at the event and would recognise Lenette as he worked closely with her father for a while, he still decided to bring her.
Caesar could intervene their conversation but there was no fun in doing so. Watching what would become of this reunion was far more entertaining for him, even though there was this strong feeling of dislike at seeing them so close and comfortable together. It irked him.
