Aoi didn't even blink.
"Relax. I'm not here to stop it." She smiled—calm, confident. "I have zero doubt Seto will win."
At some point, without anyone noticing exactly when, her way of addressing him had changed.
No longer Kaiba.
Now it was Seto.
Noah's expression tightened for a fraction of a second—then he masked it with a thin smile.
Kaiba Seto's eyes were cold steel.
"Don't get arrogant, Noah. From the day I was born, I've never lived for anyone but myself. My future—my path to glory—doesn't allow a single stain."
His voice sharpened into a blade.
"If anyone dares to reach for it—no matter who it is—I'll crush them with these hands."
Noah's gaze narrowed.
"So you really intend to oppose me completely, Seto?"
"You talk too much." Kaiba snapped his Duel Disk open, deck sliding into place with a clean mechanical click. "Duel."
Aoi stood slightly behind him, arms folded, watching Noah the way a predator watches a trap finally spring.
Noah lifted his hand. A Duel Disk unfolded over his wrist.
"I've been dreaming of this moment for a long time," he said softly. "Let's settle it, Seto."

Kaiba's eyes flashed.
"My Deck Master is White Maiden."
In this virtual world, Noah had already explained the special rules: before the Duel, each side could designate a monster as a Deck Master. Deck Masters had unique abilities—and if a Deck Master was destroyed, it could decide the Duel outright.
Kaiba drew.
"My turn. Draw!"
"Activating my Deck Master's ability—White Maiden!" Kaiba declared.
White Maiden — Deck Master Effect: Add 1 Spell/Trap from the Deck that mentions "Blue-Eyes" or "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" to the hand, or activate it immediately.
Kaiba didn't hesitate.
"I activate the Continuous Trap True Light directly."
A stone-like sigil flared behind him—cold, luminous, authoritative.
"Now, by True Light's effect—I Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!"
A white dragon erupted into the arena, wings spreading wide, its roar cutting through the lava wind.

Noah's pupils contracted.
"First turn… Blue-Eyes?"
Kaiba set two cards.
"Turn end." (Cards in hand: 3)
He looked at Noah with pure disdain.
"Your move."
Noah drew—his voice steady, but a thin thread of irritation ran beneath it.
"My turn. Draw."
Aoi's gaze never left him.
(Seto isn't the same Kaiba from the original timeline anymore. With my support, his deck is sharper—deadlier. If he wants, he can OTK Noah. And Noah's so-called 'world-creation' deck… is basically a performance deck.)
Noah summoned with deliberate composure.
"I Normal Summon Chiron the Mage in Attack Position." (1800/1000)
A robed sage appeared, shield and staff gleaming.
Noah's mouth curled.
"Kaiba—your first-turn power is impressive. But if I destroy True Light, your field collapses. Your monsters will be wiped."
He lifted a card and discarded it.
"Activating Chiron's effect—once per turn, by discarding a Spell, I can destroy a Spell or Trap on your field."
He pointed straight at the sigil behind Kaiba.
"Chiron destroys True Light!"
Chiron raised his shield—True Light's image appeared across it, as if marked for execution.
But Kaiba's lips rose into a cold smile.
"Noah. You're naïve."
Noah's eyes flicked.
"What?"
Kaiba flipped a set card.
"I activate Trap—Destined Rivalry!"
A pulse of force surged outward like a decree.
Destined Rivalry: If you control "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Dark Magician," negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent controls until the end of the turn.
"Your Chiron's effect is negated."
CRACK!
Chiron's shield shattered—its light dying instantly.
Noah clicked his tongue.
"…So you shut down my monster effect."
He set two cards.
"Turn end." (Cards in hand: 2)
His eyes narrowed, thinking faster now.
(So I need to prepare earlier than planned…)
Kaiba drew.
"My turn. Draw."
Aoi's eyes sharpened—she recognized the tempo shift.
"Deck Master—White Maiden. Activate."
Kaiba selected a card without hesitation.
"I activate Blue-Eyes Prayer directly from my Deck!"
The ritual-like glyphs circled around Kaiba's Duel Disk.
"Blue-Eyes Prayer—discard 1 card. Then add:
1 Spell/Trap that mentions Blue-Eyes White Dragon (except itself), and
1 Level 1 LIGHT Effect Monster."
Kaiba discarded.
"I add Blue-Eyes Tyrant Rises and Sage with Eyes of Blue!"
Noah's jaw tightened a fraction.
Kaiba continued—mercilessly clean.
"And now—Blue-Eyes Prayer's Graveyard effect."
He removed the card from play.
"By banishing it, I target my Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Then I equip a 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my Extra Deck to it as an Equip Spell, increasing its ATK by 400."
A massive shadow loomed.
A three-headed dragon—compressed into weaponized light—latched onto Blue-Eyes like armor.
"Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon equips to Blue-Eyes!"

Noah's eyes widened slightly. "He's turning the Extra Deck into equipment…?"
Kaiba's voice remained flat.
"Now I tribute the equipped Blue-Eyes."
The dragon's light collapsed inward—
"I Special Summon from the Extra Deck—Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon!"
A tyrant-winged white dragon descended, heavier, more violent, the air around it cracking with pressure.

For a split second, everything seemed normal—
Then something wrong happened.
The tributed Blue-Eyes… and even the equipped Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon…
They didn't go to the Graveyard.
Instead, both were pulled away, swallowed by a colossal wooden ship that materialized above the arena like a myth made real—its hull glowing, its interior filled with drifting "captured" light.
Kaiba's eyes narrowed.
"What is that?"
Noah's smile returned.
"That was my Deck Master activating."
He spread his hands.
"My Deck Master is Miracle Ark."
Aoi's expression cooled.
So that's Noah's angle.
Noah continued, almost pleased with himself.
"Miracle Ark's first effect—Containment."
Containment: Monsters in the Graveyard—and monsters that would be sent to the Graveyard—are instead stored inside the Ark.
Kaiba didn't flinch.
"Tch. Doesn't matter."
He pointed.
"Battle. Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon, attack Chiron!"
Noah's lips curled.
"Then I'll show you Miracle Ark's second effect."
A massive beam of light spilled from the Ark. A single "selected" glow dropped to Noah's field and condensed—
A familiar monster appeared in Defense Position.

Kaiba's eyes widened—then he froze.
"…That's my Ultimate Dragon."
Noah's voice was sweet with provocation.
"Thank you for donating it. Miracle Ark's second effect—Absolute Defense."
Absolute Defense: When entering the Battle Phase, Miracle Ark randomly selects stored monsters and Special Summons them to my field in Defense Position based on the number of monsters I control.
Kaiba stared for one heartbeat—
Then he laughed.
Low at first.
Then loud.
Noah's brows furrowed hard.
"What's so funny?"
Kaiba's laughter sharpened into contempt.
"Noah… you really are an idiot."
Noah's smile faltered.
Kaiba's eyes burned with confidence.
"You think stealing my monsters is the best way to hurt me?"
He lifted his chin slightly.
"I predicted you'd do exactly this."
Aoi's mouth curved—just barely.
She'd noticed it too.
Kaiba still had a set card waiting.
(He expected Noah to try to kill him with his own pride. And the moment Noah touches that pride… he steps straight onto Kaiba's nerve.)
Noah's expression tightened.
But his eyes glittered with obsession.
"Then show me," he said softly. "Show me how you planned to survive your own monster."
The lava wind screamed across the arena.
And somewhere in the set cards beneath Kaiba's hand—
