(Third Person POV)
"We'll see about that." Samuel said as he took a step to the side, "Zarias, you said? Best be prepared to be filled with holes."
Zarias flicked his cloak back, "I shall demonstrate the terrifying power I possess." He said seriously, "And I shall relish in the despair it causes you."
Samuel fired a single shot, "You talk too much."
The Vampire dodged the bullet only for Sharn to rush him, striking him in the chest with a vicious straight kick. She followed up with a flurry of straight punches that created powerful impacts, slowly pushing him back.
"Hm." Zarias said as he braced himself, "Acting as the bruiser, hm?"
The Vampire jumped away as Samuel fired another shot at his head, avoiding the bullet completely. He then jumped off the wall and shot right at Sharn, swinging his claws right at her. He struck a barrier that was cast by Oneth, shattering it immediately.
Sharn followed through with a right hook, her fist engulfed in a red glow. The strike hit Zarias in the jaw, sending him reeling back as she tried to follow up with a kick. Zarias quickly dodged it and countered by swinging his claws at her waist, shattering her Magic Shield.
"Agh!" Sharn said, feeling the damage
Samuel noticed that Zarias's claws were glowing bright green, a strange magic power emanating from them.
"His imbued his claws in Necrotic Power!" Oneth said, "I can cast another Magic Shield on Sharn, but if he shatters it and strikes at her with those claws again, she'll take heavy damage! Necrotic Damage is too powerful to heal with simply healing spells, Samuel!"
"Got it," Samuel said
Before Zarias could follow up on an attack on Sharn, however, Samuel had rushed at him, hitting him with another Gunslinger's Mark.
"Hm." Zarias said as he swung his claws at Samuel, "Right up to me, huh?"
He was struck with a shockwave, getting him off balance as Samuel unloaded three successive shots at him. The mark glowed brightly and the sound cue was heard, the explosion of the Critical Damage was seen.
Zarias's magic shield shattered, momentarily making him vulnerable. Suddenly, Sharn was right next to him, hitting him with a vicious right knee to the side of the head. The blow was strong enough to send him reeling to the side but Samuel rushed over, pushing her out of the way while Zaria countered with a swing of his claws.
"Dammit...." Sharn said as the two of them landed on the ground
Samuel rolled on his back and fired the rest of his bullets at Zarias, who dodged them with ease. He then rushed at them with blinding speed, trying to swing his claws at them. Oneth fired two fireballs at him, however, striking him hard and causing explosions that send him flying back.
"Get up!" Oneth said as she had an alarmed look on her face, "Get up now!"
Samuel got up and reloaded his gun while Sharn patted her pants, "Tch...." He said, "This guy is tough. If he was like those assassins, I would've killed him by now."
Zarias landed on the ground, his body smoking a bit, "Hmmmm...." He said, sitting up and looking at the three with his serious eyes, "You will be trickier than I expected. Interesting....."
"It's going to be tough, getting Sharn up close to him." Samuel said, "In one hit, her shield is shattered. I can proc Critical Damage to get rid of his shield, but we need to be quick in following up. Sharn, if you can time a proper attack with Oneth, we can stagger him to the point I can get a second Critical Damage proc."
"That's easier said than done." Sharn said as she rubbed her forearm, "But if I can activate my magic, it can be done. It just spends a lot of magic power...."
"Anything is better than-" Samuel said as he felt a shift in the air, "Something's coming."
Zarias was standing up, "I don't think you three understand the position you are in." He said, rubbing his cheek, "I am Zarias, the Scourge of Abaddon. You will learn to fear my power."
He waved his arms outwards, releasing a wave of green energy. The ground began to shake as the walls trembled, giving Oneth an uneasy feeling.
"This power...." Oneth said, "He's activating a Necromancy spell!"
"Grand Dead Carnival"
Suddenly, dozens of skeletal hands burst from the ground, releasing a wave of pressure that nearly toppled Samuel over.
"What the fuck?!" Samuel exclaimed, "What's this?!"
Then, he saw dozens of skeletons emerge from the ground. The skeletons were shrouded in cloth, their eye sockets emitting a green glow. They all clattered their teeth, causing an unsettling sound that caused Samuel's skin to crawl.
"Now, go forth, my skeletons." Zarias said, "Overwhelm them with your sheer numbers and let me watch as you rip their limbs apart."
The skeletons then swarmed the group, letting out loud clattering as they jumped at them.
Oneth waved her hand outwards, releasing a wave of light that took out most of the first wave.
"Wave of Light"
Zarias narrowed his eyes, "How ironic." He said, "A Demon using a Holy Spell. Hmph, that matters not. My Skeletons are imbued with my Necrotic Power, they are resistant to all kinds of magic. Your little wave of light won't put a dent in my army."
Samuel began to fire rounds at the closest skeletons, destroying their heads and watching as their skeleton bodies collapsed to the ground.
Oneth kept waving her hands, fending off the remaining waves with multiple Waves of Light. She had a serious look on her face, seeing how there was simply too many of them at first.
"They're not stopping?" Sharn said, narrowing her eyes
"A perpetual Skeleton Wave spell?" Oneth said, wincing, "This is his Necromancy?!'
Samuel was reloading, "If we can take him down, can we put this spell out?"
"Maybe, I don't know." Oneth said
Sharn gritted her teeth, "Stay together." She said, "Don't move too much, I'm going for it."
"Going for what?" Samuel said as he shot the nearest skeletons
Sharn launched herself into the air, releasing magic power from her body as she arched her back back, rearing her fist back. Samuel watched as dark red light appeared from behind her as she glared down at the ground.
"Meteor Fist!!"
She swung her fist down and large red projections of closed fists fired down from the air, shooting straight down and striking the waves of Skeletons. The impact of the fists were strong to create powerful shockwaves that ripped apart the floor, causing large cracks and it shook the entire chamber.
"Whoa...!" Samuel said, covering his face with his forearm, "What's....?"
The rain of spectral fists came to an end, and the result was a wall of dust that separated the two groups. Sharn landed on the ground, panting as she saw that there were only a few skeletons left.
"N-Now's our chance....!" She said, "Before more come!!"
Zarias burst through the dust cloud, "How pathetic!" He said, "Creating a smokescreen for me to strike at you!"
He was hit with a Wave of Light, fired from Oneth, which also hit the skeletons near him. The attack staggered him, causing his skin to slightly burn.
"A-Agh!" He exclaimed
Samuel then flashed past him, striking him with his hand.
"Gunslinger's Mark"
He fired three shots, activating the Critical Damage and shattering his shield again. As this happened, Sharn rushed him, swinging her fist at him. Instead of her fist connecting, a large spectral fist fired at him and hit him hard.
The blow sent him flying away, causing him to hit the wall hard. The shockwave sent pieces of debris flying everywhere, his body falling to the ground. Before he even hit the ground, Samuel had fired the remaining rounds at his head.
Zarias's head exploded with blood as he collapsed to the ground, causing him to groan in pain, "Ughh..." He said, slowly getting back up, "What in the....?"
"My Waves of Light ignore Magic Shields at the cost of more Magic Power cost." Oneth said as she slithered to the side, "Bet you did not expect that."
They watched as the large missing piece of his skull was slowly repairing itself.
"What the fuck....." Samuel narrowed his eyes
"Hm...." Zarias said, "Well....my spell is still active....."
As his head began to heal, more Skeletons began to emerge from the ground.
"Tch...!" Sharn said, "I can't use that many Meteor Fists consecutively! We have to do something!!"
"Yes." Zarias said as he smirked, "Do something..."
"Or you'll die!!"
