Chapter 86 - The Fall of the Greek Gods 1

"Check-in."

Hearing the system prompt, Han Shaoqing didn't hesitate to select the check-in option.

Checking in... Countdown: 10, 9, ..., 3, 2, 1. Check-in successful! Congratulations, Host, on obtaining the Zeus Armor from the DC Universe.

**Zeus Armor**: A weapon forged by Zeus to combat dark deities, channeling the collective divine power of the Greek Gods. When worn, it grants the wearer the strength of the Greek Gods. The greater the wearer's physical prowess, the greater the power they can unleash.

Claim?

The Zeus Armor was a divine artifact in the DC Universe, far more powerful than Neptune's Trident. It was similar to how Odin in the Marvel Universe forged the Destroyer Armor.

*I wonder who borrowed the idea from whom?*

Although Han Shaoqing already possessed the Golden Armor, it paled in comparison to the Zeus Armor.

"Claim!"

As the word left his lips, a set of ancient Greek-style armor materialized before him.

Whether it was a preference of the Greek Gods, but their divine artifacts all gleamed with golden light. Still, it undeniably looked far cooler than the Golden Armor, and Han Shaoqing could feel the immense power contained within.

This must be what is known as Divine Power!

Speaking of Greek Mythology, when Han Shaoqing used the *Red of All Beings*, he discovered something interesting in Godzilla's memories.

In the distant past of this world, there was an era when humans and gods coexisted, primarily divided into four major pantheons:

The Chinese Pantheon, the Greek Pantheon, the Norse Pantheon, and the Egyptian Pantheon.

That's right, this world once had the Greek Gods, but they are now gone.

This is because thousands of years ago, Ragnarok occurred.

The Greek Mythology system came to an end.

The cause of this event can be traced back to a battle between two factions of mortal soldiers at sea, not far from Mount Olympus.

At that time, Godzilla had just defeated the Yamata no Orochi of the Island Nation and was passing by the battlefield.

For some inexplicable reason, instead of fleeing, the two warring factions went mad and actively attacked Godzilla.

Godzilla, of course, wouldn't tolerate such insolence. His blade-like dorsal fin slashed across the sea, effortlessly cleaving through the sturdy warships. Countless soldiers were swallowed by the colossal waves.

This scene happened to be witnessed by Hermes, the messenger of the Greek Gods.

Hermes, wearing his winged sandals, hurried to the Realm of the Gods—Mount Olympus, then revered by mortals as a sacred site.

At the summit stood the Pantheon, the magnificent temple where the gods who ruled the world and dominated humanity resided.

Each god possessed extraordinary skills and immense magical power.

The adoration and worship of mortals transformed into an endless stream of faith, nurturing their divine strength.

Yet, as time passed, even the people's devotion could no longer satisfy their spiritual greed.

The gods grew complacent and indifferent, ceasing to respond to mortal prayers.

Their prolonged life of ease left them appearing idle, either striking poses or devising new ways to seduce mortal wives.

Hermes reported the plight of mortals to King of the Gods Zeus.

But Zeus merely laughed heartily at the suffering mortals.

The faces of the other gods were filled with disdain and indifference.

In their eyes, mortal lives were as insignificant as ants.

Only Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, still held compassion for humanity. She defended them and pleaded with Zeus to help the suffering.

Even Queen Hera interceded, attempting to persuade Zeus.

But Zeus, resentful of the dwindling faith from mortals over the years, stubbornly and arrogantly refused to help them.

The compassionate Goddess of Love continued to plead with the King of the Gods, but Zeus remained aloof and self-important, doing as he pleased.

In truth, mortals had indeed begun to question Zeus's claim of supreme authority.

This was primarily due to his arrogance; he utterly disregarded mortals, never responding to their prayers.

Such one-sided devotion could not last.

When the gods failed to protect mortals, the mortals naturally stopped worshipping them.

Moreover, the gods frequently descended to meddle with mortals' wives for trivial reasons, showing no moral restraint and incurring the wrath of both heaven and earth.

If not for their fear of the other gods' power, Zeus's ashes would have been scattered long ago.

With the loss of public support, the Greek Gods received progressively less faith, causing their Divine Power to wane.

Yet they remained arrogant and self-important, blind to the reality of their situation.

Only the lecherous Sea God Poseidon, seeking to please the Goddess of Love, volunteered to descend and investigate the matter.

Little did he know that he was about to face the terror of Godzilla.

When Poseidon arrived at the devastated battlefield, he was met with a scene of utter destruction: shattered warships and gruesome carnage. Even the Sea God Poseidon was shaken by the sight.

Godzilla slowly rose from the sea. Poseidon, seeing the mountain-sized creature, felt no fear. He strode across the waves and charged toward Godzilla, wielding his trident.

But his figure seemed utterly insignificant before the colossal beast.

The massive waves Poseidon summoned were pale and powerless, failing to inflict even the slightest injury on Godzilla.

At this moment, Godzilla was at his peak, wielding the accumulated might of over a hundred million years—a truly terrifying force.

Poseidon found himself in a desperate battle. After five hundred rounds of combat, he had not only failed to subdue Godzilla but was also gradually losing strength.

No matter what techniques Poseidon employed, they appeared mere flashy tricks before Godzilla's overwhelming power.

Finally, Godzilla unleashed his Atomic Breath, a single blast that engulfed the Sea God Poseidon, annihilating his body and soul.

Enraged, Godzilla churned the sea into a catastrophic tsunami—a world-ending flood—that surged toward Mount Olympus. Cities in its path were instantly submerged.

When the gods noticed the anomaly and looked down from their temples, they saw the demonic figure—the nightmare of the gods, Zeus's eternal enemy: Godzilla.

Godzilla arrived with lightning and floods, his ferocious aura unsettling even the lofty gods.

Seeing the enemy at their gates, Zeus swung his lightning spear at Godzilla, but it failed to pierce the monster's skin, which was as impenetrable as the Wall of Sighs.

Enraged by his failed attack, Zeus demanded to know which god had created this monster and dared to invade the divine realm.

The gods, feigning ignorance, hastily shifted the blame to the deceased Sea God Poseidon.

Though furious, Zeus knew he had to deal with the immediate threat.

The most warlike god, Ares, could no longer contain his battle lust. Wielding his war axe, he leaped from the mountain peak, his massive axe cleaving the air as he roared, "Die, monster! How dare you challenge the great God of War!"

*God of War?*

*So what?*

After considering for 0.001 seconds, Godzilla opened his mouth and unleashed his Atomic Breath.

The God of War Ares, struck by the unstoppable force, was instantly reduced to ashes, his very essence obliterated.

*Decisiveness = Suicide!*

Even the mighty God of War proved no match for Godzilla.
