The earth-shattering roar shook the very foundations of the world, forcing the beasts of the inner earth to bow their heads in fear and stillness.
The cause was Godzilla, who had caught the scent of Kong on Han Shaoqing.
*Where is he?*
Hearing Godzilla's mental query, Han Shaoqing understood. "I've found Skull Island," he said. "But there's only a Little Kong there now. His parents and the rest of his clan are dead."
*Dead? How could he die?*
A flicker of melancholy crossed Godzilla's eyes at the news of the Ancient Kong's demise. He hadn't yet taken his revenge, and now his enemy was gone, leaving him with no one to settle the score.
As for the Little Kong Han Shaoqing mentioned, Godzilla's pride wouldn't allow him to bully a child.
With the Ancient Kong dead, there was no longer a Kong King. The lonely invincibility of his reign had left Godzilla looking slightly diminished.
Han Shaoqing offered an explanation: "Perhaps he died of old age, or maybe he was overwhelmed and killed by the Skullcrawlers."
Although Titan Giant Beasts possess incredibly long lifespans, Godzilla stands out as the longest-lived among them. Spanning 150 million years from the ancient era to the present, such longevity is rare, and without any unforeseen accidents, Godzilla could continue to live indefinitely.
"Big Brother, would you like to visit Skull Island? I can give you the location. Handsome Guy has already become my subordinate and your third brother. I brought you a gift on this trip."
As he spoke, Han Shaoqing retrieved two Tsar Bombas from his Cosmic Ring and placed them before Godzilla.
"A human weapon? You're thoughtful, little brother."
Godzilla's intelligence, in some ways, surpassed that of humans. At a glance, he recognized the nuclear bombs as human-made.
Big Brother Godzilla's physique was several times larger than Handsome Guy's, and his appetite was astonishing. He devoured the Tsar Bombas in a few bites.
Though the post-explosion radiation from the nuclear bombs would have been more beneficial to Godzilla, this was, after all, the ancestral land of the Kong Clan. It would be a shame to destroy it.
Han Shaoqing also planned to transform this place into the core territory for Mutants.
After Big Brother Godzilla finished eating, Han Shaoqing produced a Summoning Contract he had obtained at Xavier Manor. "Big Brother, this is a Summoning Contract I acquired while out and about. It establishes a mutual connection, allowing us to summon each other when necessary. That way, if I discover another evil Titan Giant Beast out there, I can have you appear immediately."
"You little schemer, you want me to be your personal bodyguard, huh? Fine. Just call me whenever you're in trouble, and I'll handle it."
Big Brother Godzilla was generous and allowed Han Shaoqing to proceed with signing the Summoning Contract.
The Summoning Contract was bidirectional. Han Shaoqing could summon Godzilla, and Godzilla could summon Han Shaoqing. Now, man and beast were bound together, sharing both glory and ruin.
Godzilla did not return to Skull Island with Han Shaoqing. With Ancient Kong dead, his target for revenge was gone. Fighting an immature Little Kong held no interest for him; he preferred to continue sleeping.
Han Shaoqing had many tasks ahead.
Namor had been killed by him, and the Atlantis Empire's reaction remained uncertain. If not handled promptly, this could lead to war between Atlantis and humanity.
If such a situation were to arise, the casualties would be unimaginable.
Mera hadn't yet found the right moment to claim her rewards.
So, when he had some free time, Han Shaoqing would visit Atlantis to fully solidify the Sea King's identity.
He would also bring Mera out of seclusion and have her assist in governing Atlantis.
In addition, construction work on the Skull Island base needed to proceed.
Skull Island's environment was uniquely advantageous: its trace radiation would aid Mutant evolution, it was resource-rich, and natural storms served as a natural barrier.
Once the base was completed, the second phase of his plan could begin.
Developments in the outside world couldn't be neglected either.
Luther's infiltration of Hydra as a mole was a chess move Han Shaoqing had made in advance.
With Hydra later gaining near-complete control of S.H.I.E.L.D., this force couldn't be underestimated. It could prove useful for Han Shaoqing's future "check-in" plans.
Moreover, Luther was a genius scientist and inventor capable of developing various black technologies, which would likely bring Han Shaoqing some pleasant surprises.
As for Hong Kong's Wu Shihow and Lei Luo, their affairs were petty skirmishes. Han Shaoqing's plan for them was to bring Hong Kong into an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity.
Once Wu Shihow had consolidated his control over all the triad factions, he began the process of laundering his ill-gotten gains.
Lei Luo followed a similar path. After securing the position of Chief Chinese Detective, he established the Independent Commission Against Corruption and other anti-corruption agencies, thoroughly purging the system of corruption.
With the full support of the Rakshasa Gate's Fire Cloud Cthulhu, this was not particularly difficult.
The only real obstacle was the British attitude.
This wasn't a major problem; Han Shaoqing could pay them a visit at his leisure to win them over with his virtue.
However, priorities mattered. Before addressing this issue, Han Shaoqing had one crucial task: eliminating a major threat—Apocalypse!
Apocalypse, the primary antagonist from *X-Men: Apocalypse*, was born in Egypt under the name En Sabah Nur. He was a mutant with a vast array of powers, including super strength, endurance, flight, elemental control, and molecular manipulation.
Through a special ritual, he could transfer his consciousness into a new body, inheriting that body's innate talents.
Over millennia, Apocalypse's abilities had gradually refined, approaching omnipotence. His power level was firmly in the fifth tier.
To put it simply, Apocalypse was a Celestial-level being, a power on par with Odin.
Apocalypse was an ambitious man, and due to a desperate counterattack by humanity thousands of years ago, he harbored a deep hatred for them. If he were to revive, it would be disastrous for both humanity and Mutants.
In many ways, Apocalypse was a tyrant, and his death would be well-deserved.
According to the original plot, Apocalypse was supposed to complete his final reincarnation ritual in 1983. This happened when Moira, while tracking a mysterious organization, accidentally pulled back a tarp, allowing sunlight to enter the underground chamber and fulfill the ritual's requirements.
That was still twenty years away.
But now that Han Shaoqing knew about the looming threat of Apocalypse, he couldn't foolishly wait for him to revive.
Moreover, the situation had already changed. Who knew if some unforeseen accident might cause Apocalypse to awaken early?
