The moonlight illuminated the figures, making the visibility quite good.
"It's King Kong! King Kong's here!"
Sea Siren Sean, standing atop the fortress wall, spotted Handsome Guy in the distance and called out to the others to come and see.
For these city dwellers, the monsters of Skull Island were a rare sight.
They had all learned about Skull Island and King Kong from Charles, but seeing the giant ape in person was still awe-inspiring.
At thirty meters tall, King Kong was by far the largest creature they had ever seen. Even the Red Devil, who had lived for thousands of years, was witnessing a titan for the first time.
Darwin marveled, "What a miracle of life!"
"Thank goodness King Kong is an ally of humanity. Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable," Raven said, her skin having returned to its natural blue.
Thanks to Han Shaoqing's advice, she hadn't simulated the genes of other mutants in quick succession.
While simulating more mutant genes would undoubtedly make Mystique Raven more powerful, her body had its limits. Over-simulating other mutants' X-Genes could cause her genetic structure to collapse.
Therefore, Han Shaoqing had advised Raven to adapt for a while first, and then simulate Darwin's X-Gene to gain the ability of survival of the fittest and evolution. This gradual approach would prevent her genetic structure from collapsing.

Sean, Alex, Salvador, and the others continued to discuss King Kong.
The Iwi people, long accustomed to his presence, busied themselves after learning of his arrival. They gathered various foods and placed them in a large basket, which was then lowered to the ground outside the wall via a pulley system.
To the Iwi, King Kong was their guardian deity. Without his protection, they would have long since become a footnote in history. Thus, each time he arrived, they offered him their finest provisions.
Darwin, with his keen eyes, spotted Han Shaoqing and Artoria perched on Handsome Guy's shoulder.
"Lord Neptune is on King Kong."
Erik scanned the scene and smiled. "It seems they're getting along well."
Charles nodded. "With King Kong's support, our construction efforts will be much smoother. I'm not worried about the other monsters, only the Skull Lizard. The children aren't yet capable of handling creatures of that caliber."
"Don't worry, I'll turn our new home into an impregnable steel fortress."
Erik was full of confidence. He had already found a suitable location today, with a metallic ore deposit underground that would be sufficient to build a steel fortress.
From the memories shared by Charles, Erik learned about Skull Lizards and many other monsters. However, apart from their size, these creatures lacked any special abilities.
Erik was confident he could handle them and planned to start casting the foundation tomorrow.
Charles also trusted Erik's abilities but intended to remain vigilant, monitoring the outside world to prevent their fellow mutants from being attacked by monsters.
The two were like the strict father and nurturing mother among mutants. Though their methods differed, both genuinely cared for the future of the mutant community and were willing to sacrifice everything for it.
Such selfless devotion was beyond Han Shaoqing's capacity.
His decision to bring the mutants to Skull Island was self-serving. While it also served to avoid conflict between mutants and humans and ease tensions, his motives were impure.
On one hand, having the mutants' power would make it convenient to achieve many future goals.
On the other hand, it was for the convenience of "leveling up."
Once they were trained and grew stronger, he could get rich.
Han Shaoqing's selfish plans were running smoothly, and he felt no remorse.
This was a win-win situation. With his interference, the future of the Mutants, no matter how bleak, couldn't possibly be worse than the one depicted in *Logan*.
After returning to the Iwi settlement, King Kong sat on the ground, contemplating the Iwi-provided delicacies.
Han Shaoqing and Artoria regrouped with Erik and the others. After dinner, Red Devil, White Queen, Sabretooth, and Black Adam returned to Las Vegas.
Han Shaoqing, Erik, Charles, Raven, and others gathered to plan the construction of their new home the next day.
Everyone participated in this endeavor, offering various suggestions.
Han Shaoqing proposed building three concentric walls, with the foundation and surrounding structures primarily made of metal.
This idea aligned perfectly with Erik's.
Since Skull Lizards burrow underground, ordinary buildings would be ineffective.
Moreover, with a metal framework, Erik could use magnetic fields to transform it into a controlled fortress if necessary.
Skull Island was teeming with monsters; they needed to defend not only against ground threats but also against aerial attacks by Terror Vultures and Icarus Wings.
Classrooms, living quarters, recreational areas, training zones, leisure spaces, research labs...
The list of planned zones clearly indicated a monumental undertaking.
Fortunately, the Mutants' extraordinary abilities made the task much easier.
After the meeting, most of the group remained wide awake.
Having just arrived on Skull Island, the unfamiliar environment always made people uneasy.
Moreover, there were many strange beasts and novel phenomena here.
For safety's sake, they all slept together on the ground and took turns standing guard.
Han Shaoqing found an empty spot and teleported back to the Inner Earth. He arrived at the temple in Kong's ancestral homeland to visit Godzilla.
"Zzzzz..."
Godzilla was fast asleep, unchanged from when Han Shaoqing had left.
For Godzilla, the concept of time was irrelevant; sleeping for ten thousand years at a stretch was perfectly normal.
It was only in recent years, due to frequent human contact, that Godzilla's activity had gradually increased.
Han Shaoqing climbed onto Godzilla's head and activated Red of All Life, sharing Godzilla's abilities.
Atomic Breath, G-Cells, radiation absorption, internal atomic reactor, superhuman strength...

"ROAR!!!"
The deafening roar shook the very foundations of the island, clearly indicating Godzilla's displeasure.
