"Beast, Professor, look! Is that a dinosaur? I can't believe I'm seeing a living dinosaur!"
Mystique Raven stood on the beach, her eyes immediately spotting a Triceratops urinating beneath a coconut tree.
The dinosaur paid no mind to Raven and the others. It shook itself and ambled away.
The other mutants and Han Shaoqing surveyed their surroundings.
Blue skies, white clouds, and a vast, azure sea—the idyllic environment resembled a paradise.
Charles remained silent, still reeling from the Cuban incident.
If not for his concern for the future of mutants, he would have parted ways with Han Shaoqing long ago.
Red Tank shot Charles a disdainful glance, snorted coldly, and turned away. Though their misunderstanding had been cleared up, he still couldn't stand the man.
Artoria stood beside Han Shaoqing, enjoying the sea breeze and wearing a radiant smile. "What a beautiful island," she said.
"Beautiful, but dangerous," Han Shaoqing replied.
As if to prove his point, a beast's roar echoed in the distance.
Siren Sean, who could pinpoint locations by sound like a bat, using echolocation to gauge the size and shape of objects, grew tense. "That sound is terrifying... and it's huge."
"Welcome to Skull Island, which will become a paradise for Mutants," Han Shaoqing said with a smile. "However, there are still quite a few powerful monsters and some native tribes here, so don't wander around carelessly."
Skull Island was one of the two paths Han Shaoqing had planned for the Mutants.
The first was to continue maintaining the Hellfire Club, allowing Mutants to maintain a certain level of influence and status in the outside world.
The second was to migrate to Skull Island, settle there in peace and prosperity, and remain detached from the conflicts of the outside world.
In truth, Han Shaoqing could also have taken the Mutants to live in the Hollow Earth.
However, compared to Skull Island, the Hollow Earth was far more dangerous, teeming with endless monsters. Even current powerhouses like Erik would struggle to handle some of the titan-class beasts.
It was better to have them adapt on Skull Island first. Once their strength and productivity had improved, sending them to the Hollow Earth would be a safer option.
In this way, the Mutants would effectively be divided into three groups.
If we were to use the sect system from a fantasy world as an analogy:
The Mutants in the outside world, associated with the Hellfire Club, would be like outer sect disciples.
Those on Skull Island would be like inner sect disciples.
And those who would eventually migrate to the Hollow Earth would be like core disciples.
This approach offered several advantages: it eliminated barriers between Mutants, allowing them to choose living environments based on their preferences and abilities.
Even if something went wrong, they wouldn't all be wiped out in one fell swoop.
"Professor, here's the information I gathered about controlling Skull Island. Please share it with everyone."
To ensure the group quickly understood the island's situation, Han Shaoqing extracted the data from Skull Cave and gave it to Charles. Charles then used his Telepathy to transmit it to all the Mutants on the island.
Though Charles harbored some resentment towards Han Shaoqing, his good-natured personality compelled him to share the information for the sake of the Mutants.
Moments later, everyone understood that Skull Island was a land teeming with monsters.
Yet rather than fear, they felt a surge of excitement and a burning desire to explore.
Currently, the most formidable threats on Skull Island were Kong and the slumbering Skullcrawler deep underground.
Excluding Han Shaoqing and Artoria, the Mutants present included: Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, Ravage, Sirena, Angel, Beast, Darwin, White Queen, Red Devil, Red Tank, Sabretooth, Black Adam, and Riptide.
All were at least Tier 2 Mutants. As long as they didn't court disaster, their safety was assured.
Han Shaoqing was setting foot on Skull Island for the first time. He owed this to his Mental Transmission ability; without it, finding an unmarked island in the vast ocean would have taken him a considerable amount of time.
He had already encountered the various monsters of Skull Island in the Hollow Earth. Now, his main concern was whether he could "check in" at special locations.
As for checking in with Kong, Han Shaoqing had no immediate plans to do so.
It was only 1962, and Kong was likely not yet 30 meters tall, still in his juvenile phase—a baby weighing several thousand tons.
Checking in was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and using it now would be a waste. He decided to wait until Kong had fully matured.
"Let's go. We need to choose a location to establish our base. We'll need Old Wan's expertise for this."
Erik smiled. "No problem."
With his ability to control magnetic fields, he could refine various metals from the earth and forge an impregnable castle.
Though it would require time and effort, Erik considered it all worthwhile.
Protecting his family was his lifelong dream.
"Ladies and gentlemen, follow me to tour our future home. Familiarize yourselves with the environment while staying alert and keeping up."
"Understood!"
The group adjusted their formation and set off. After crossing the beach, they entered the dense jungle.
Skull Island remained a primitive ecosystem, devoid of roads and overgrown with weeds.
Lu Xun once said, "There were no paths in the world to begin with, but as more people walked, paths were forged."
Red Tank and Red Devil led the way, hacking through the undergrowth. Han Shaoqing then used his gravity manipulation to flatten the ground, clearing a wide path.
"Awooo~"
Suddenly, a wolf's howl echoed through the air. Several bizarre-looking giant wolves burst out from all directions.
These creatures resembled a hybrid of dinosaurs and wolves, walking upright on their hind legs. Their sharp forelimbs served as weapons, while their spines protruded externally, covered in spikes. Their mouths were filled with razor-sharp teeth, and their long, hooked claws marked them as ferocious predators.
"Bladeback Jackals!"
Having shared information about Skull Island, everyone immediately recognized the creatures.
"I'll take care of them."
Red Devil brandished his dual blades, ready to strike.
Red Tank clenched his fists, itching for a fight.
To ordinary people, Bladeback Jackals were terrifying predators, but to Mutants with various superpowers, they were far from invincible.
"Go away."
Han Shaoqing spoke calmly, and the vicious Bladeback Jackals immediately tucked their tails and fled.
After acquiring the Red of All Life, Han Shaoqing gained the ability to communicate with animals and became their guardian. He avoided unnecessary slaughter to maintain the balance of nature.
Most animals felt an affinity for Han Shaoqing and rarely attacked him unprovoked. Instead, they would often obey his commands.
While Bladeback Jackals were savage, they weren't inherently evil. Their actions were driven by survival, which remained within Han Shaoqing's tolerance.
