"Of course I can. I won't leave her for a second," I promised.
Cedar looked like he wanted to protest, and I was half-expecting him to voice out an objection. After all, I had made such a big fuss about him leaving Willow unprotected, and now I was going to be the only one with Willow.
I was hardly going to be able to fend off a rogue assassin, although I would certainly be willing to die trying.
But in the end, out of respect for Soren's suggestions, Cedar held his tongue and merely glared at me. I raised my eyebrow and waved them goodbye.
"See you guys later," I said, standing in front of Willow's room.
Soren cast me one last longing glance before leaving with Cedar. Once the last of their backs vanished from my view, I hurriedly entered, closed the door, and turned around, going to check on my sister.
