The healer continued, flipping through the papers on his clipboard as he did so, "It seems like liquid silver has been injected into him instead, most likely via the weapon used. The other patients were poisoned with monkshood."
Magnus let out a low whistle. "Poor guy. He'd better start praying for the Goddess's mercy."
"I thought you only worshipped money," I said, scoffing under my breath.
"There are only a few things a man needs to live well, sweetheart," Magnus said. "Money, faith, and good sex. Doubt you're getting the last one though―"
"She is," Rowan cut in, leaving the rest of us stunned. I couldn't believe my ears at Rowan's reply. With his words, he basically implied that both of us were getting down and dirty, which was not possible, since I had been unconscious for three days.
