Leon's Pov:
"Leon?"
Ava's voice distracted me.
I looked up at her and tried to hide the unease I felt. "I'm fine," I said, slipping my phone into my pocket.
"Are you sure?"
I nodded, then smiled to make it look more convincing. "Yeah. It's nothing serious."
"If you say so," she looked back at her phone before talking again, "What time are we leaving tomorrow?"
"I need to go out for a bit, I'll tell you everything when I get back," I said.
"Now?"
"Yes."
She stood up after me. "Where?"
"Noah's place."
That seemed to ease her a little. She nodded, though she kept looking at me with sad eyes. "Okay, text me when you get there…and don't stay too long."
"I will, and I won't." I kissed her on the cheek and quickly left the room.
I bumped into Caroline as I went down the stairs. She looked like she was going to say something but I didn't let her.
"I'm going out," I said.
"Oh…okay."
