Season Two
Part Two
The soldiers of both kingdoms began to flee.
Arblex radiated a sinister aura that made one feel an unbearable, piercing cold… No, perhaps it was more like a volcano that had only just erupted.
It was enough to send shivers down one's spine.
Kaith stood amidst this horrifying scene. Arblex had surpassed every stage of power he had ever reached in all of his previous lives. He was stronger even than the life in which he had become the Catastrophe of Hunger.
Arblex soared into the sky.
Then, with a burst of blazing flames, he unleashed an attack that drew a bloody circle across the battlefield.
With pride and madness in his voice, he declared:
«"How amusing this is… Creating spheres of blood! You wretches who mocked me—look at me now! I am a dragon of the Royal Class!"»
Kaith collapsed to the ground, unable to believe the sight before his eyes.
His soldiers.
His people.
They were being transformed into masses of blood right in front of him… and there was nothing he could do.
Arblex descended into the center of the bloody circle he had created.
He began to growl, as though sensing the approach of something.
Then, an unexpected figure appeared.
With long blond hair and royal attire—
Gilgamesh had arrived on the battlefield.
He placed a hand upon Kaith's shoulder and whispered softly:
«"Even if you have lost your soldiers, never forget that there are still many who need you to exist."»
Kaith looked up and found his uncle staring back at him, silently asking him to stand—to rise—and fight against this unwanted existence.
The two of them charged toward Arblex at incredible speed.
Kaith summoned his sword, surrounding it with darkness and flames, before attempting to strike the left head.
At the same time, Gilgamesh attacked the right head.
Gilgamesh shot forward and destroyed the left eye of the right head. Yet he did not stop there—he destroyed the second eye as well.
Then, ascending into the air, he split the right head cleanly in half.
However, the middle head unleashed a demonic beam that sent Gilgamesh crashing violently to the ground, wounded.
As he looked around in confusion, he found Kaith lying beside him—
He had been there since the very beginning of their charge.
Gilgamesh's expression twisted with anger as he shouted:
«"What in the hell is this?! You didn't do a single thing, you piece of trash!"»
Kaith replied irritably:
«"I'm not as strong as you, you foolish old man!"»
Arblex stood at the center of the bloody circle as his demonic aura erupted outward, fueled by his growing rage.
Then—
A figure clad in a black cloak that concealed his face appeared.
In an ominous voice, he said:
«"You have reached the level of anger we required, Dragon."»
Another voice echoed through the battlefield:
«"Through the sacrifice of innocent souls, the wretched demons, and the accursed draconic blood… I summon the great being—the Angelic Demon, the true destruction, the Great Beast of Ruin!"»
The circle surrounding Arblex began to glow with a dark crimson light.
Arblex felt an overwhelming sense of unease and attempted to take flight—
But he failed.
Suddenly...
Two enormous, grotesque hands emerged from the earth.
They seized Arblex's wings and tore them apart.
His agonizing screams shook the battlefield.
Yet the hands were not satisfied.
They ripped him into countless pieces.
Then, from his bones and mangled remains, they forged a twisted gate—one that seemed capable of shattering existence itself.
And from within it...
A monster emerged.
From afar, it possessed the appearance of an angel.
But from up close—
It was a demon.
Its body was covered in countless crimson eyes.
It bore two gigantic wings and writhing, grotesque tentacles.
Its size surpassed even Arblex's by several times.
It was terrifying...
And beautiful.
An angel.
And a demon.
No—
To be precise, it was a distorted and incomprehensible existence.
A being that should never have existed.
