[IRIS POV]
This close, every breath I took inhaled his scent into my lungs. Somehow, I could smell the faintest traces of wildflowers underneath his musky scent.
My eyebrows furrowed at the strange combination. This was very unlike how most alphas smelled.
Then, I registered his words. Did he just… make an innuendo?
I looked up into his stony face and mentally shot that idea to hell. He didn't look like he was out to seduce or flirt with me― this was his way of telling me that I could complain all I wanted about his behavior, but he wasn't going to change a single bit, and I would simply have to deal with it!
I blanched, taking a careful step back as I chanced another glimpse of his face. It still remained unmoving, which I tried to take as a positive sign. He didn't look happy, but he didn't look unhappy either.
More importantly, he didn't seem like he was about to turn violent from anger.
