[IRIS POV]
I choked. "What?! This is your solution?"
Were fae all delusional, or was my father just the odd one out?
"You'll love him, I promise," he said. "And he will love you even more than that whelp does, once you help him resolve his control issues."
"Control issues?"
That didn't bode well. In fact, all his words were forming a pretty damning picture. I pictured an old, rich man who couldn't control his bladder properly, and my face immediately twisted with disgust.
"What do you take me for? I'm not a construction worker― I won't be able to fix him!"
"You can, because you are part fae. Not only that, you are a part of my lineage. I am a pretty powerful fae, if I do say so myself. You will see him soon. I've already arranged it," my father said, sounding a tad bit too smug for my liking.
"Oh, I'm sure," I said sarcastically. "You're so powerful that you still need mushrooms to appear in front of me."
