I was going to follow after Iris, no matter what it took.
But before I snuck out in the middle of the night, I had to pay Healer Felix a visit to know why on earth Iris would suddenly wish to return to Moonveil Lake without warning. The only thing we met there was Alpha Gareth's men, and I was sure Iris wasn't running to meet them.
The other possibility was that Iris wanted to escape the marriage by running off to go into hiding. It was a ludicrous idea, but I could think of no other possible reason. No sane woman would want to marry Alpha Gareth. In the past, I would have thought her selfish, but now, all I wanted was to help her flee my father's selfish plans.
Either way, Healer Felix would know more. I went to his home and knocked on his door, waiting for him to open it.
