It was just as Shan Wei had thought. Chu Yao did indeed plan on showing the scripts to Lu Xize and letting him choose.
It wasn't that Chu Yao didn't trust Shan Wei, nor did she feel Lu Xize's taste was superior. It was simply a matter of habitual reliance.
She had been this way since childhood. Whenever she had to make a decision, she would habitually ask Lu Xize for his opinion. Even when she already had a preference, she would still ask him out of habit.
And on those occasions, whenever she heard that Lu Xize's choice was the same as her own, her mood would improve immensely.
This habit had been absent from Chu Yao's life for many years, and it didn't return immediately after she and Lu Xize reunited.
But as their relationship grew more intimate, that old sense of familiarity returned, bringing many of her old habits with it.
After placing the scripts on the coffee table, Chu Yao washed an apple and started munching on it.
Lu Xize finally returned a little before seven.
