About an hour later, Liam Linden and Faye Vaughn looked like completely different people.
They looked at each other, unable to keep from laughing out loud.
Faye Vaughn pointed at Liam Linden and asked with a straight face, "And you are?"
Liam Linden played along, clearing his throat. "Don't you remember me? We've been strangers since we were kids. You played at your house, and I played at mine."
Faye Vaughn burst out laughing. "So a new face turns you into a comedian!"
Liam Linden's current appearance bore almost no resemblance to his original refined and handsome features.
He now looked perfectly average, the kind of person who would get lost in a crowd. He had a squarish face, his eyes seemed much smaller, the bridge of his nose was wider, and even the shape of his lips was different.
Faye Vaughn studied her reflection in the mirror. Her fresh-faced, radiant beauty had been replaced by the look of a girl with monolids and tanned skin, a far cry from her original appearance.
