Faye Vaughn walked up to Zane Shelby and pointed to her face. "Can you still recognize me like this?"
Zane Shelby raised an eyebrow, his gaze sweeping over her face. "If I said I'd recognize you even if you were turned to ash, would you believe me?"
Faye Vaughn chuckled.
'This guy is just spouting nonsense.'
Zane Shelby's lips curled. Getting back to business, he said, "Get in the car. Any later and we'll be out of time."
Faye Vaughn tensed, understanding at once. "Is it because Wyatt Hawthorne found something?"
Zane Shelby hummed nonchalantly. "He's not much of a person, but you can't deny he has his talents."
Faye Vaughn had no time to ask for more details. She turned, ran back to the SUV, and shouted to Liam Linden, "We have to leave, now!"
Liam Linden silently glanced at the man in black, said nothing, and started moving his things from his van to the SUV.
