It was already very late by the time they arrived at the historic town.
Faye Vaughn and Finn Hawthorne picked a B&B at random, walked inside, and asked, "Do you have any rooms available?"
The receptionist replied briskly, "We do. Do you want a room with a large bed for a couple, or one with two separate beds?"
Finn Hawthorne spoke up slowly, "Aren't you supposed to tell us that you only have one last room left?"
The receptionist caught on immediately and said with a smile, "Yes, sir. You're absolutely right."
Finn Hawthorne looked at Faye Vaughn.
Faye Vaughn ignored him and said directly to the receptionist, "I don't know him well. If there's only one room, I'll take it."
The receptionist looked from the beautiful girl to the handsome young man beside her.
'Probably a young couple having a fight.'
Too bad the B&B still had several empty rooms that night.
'Can't help the handsome guy, I guess.'
