"Afraid of what?" Faye Vaughn retorted.
"Are you afraid of my older brother getting angry?" Finn Hawthorne asked bluntly. "Aren't you still hung up on him?"
Faye Vaughn tilted her head, her eyes filled with puzzlement. "Who told you I'm still hung up on him?"
Finn Hawthorne's expression was full of disbelief. He scoffed, "You're just being stubborn."
'The only reason she won't agree to be my girlfriend is because she can't get over my brother, right?'
Seeing his sour expression, Faye Vaughn opened the chat conversation on her phone and showed him the message she had sent to Wyatt Hawthorne. "I said something this harsh. Knowing your brother's pride, he won't contact me again."
Finn Hawthorne raised an eyebrow.
'True. My brother is cold and proud. He'd never lower himself to chase after Faye Vaughn again.'
'Then I can rest easy.'
