Finn Hawthorne asked instinctively, "Why?"
"What good are pretty words?" Faye gently tapped his brow with her fingertip and chuckled softly. "Even your eyes can be deceiving, let alone your words."

"Then what do I have to do to convince you I'm sincere?" Finn Hawthorne pressed, unwilling to give up.
"How about this," Faye said, an idea sparking in her glittering eyes. "We'll have a three-day trial run. If I'm convinced of your sincerity by the end of it, I'll agree to be your girlfriend."
