She remained silent, single-mindedly forging ahead.

Hearing Faye admit it, Serena Beckett was instantly delighted. Her tearful voice became high and jubilant. "Brother Finn, you see? She said it herself! She's just playing games to string you along. What's there to like about an unclean, manipulative woman like her?"
