Vivian Windsor's calls were relentless, one right after another.
Wyatt Hawthorne suppressed his irritation and, in the end, rushed over to Riverbend Crossing.
Faye Vaughn let out a soft scoff. She leisurely ate the fruit in her room while waiting for room service to deliver her cleaned clothes.
After finishing an apple, she called Vincent Hawthorne back.
Vincent Hawthorne answered quickly. "Audrey? Where are you?"
Faye Vaughn altered her voice and replied, "Something came up unexpectedly, so I left the restaurant."
Vincent Hawthorne pressed, "Are you alright?"
Faye's tone was hesitant. "Lawyer Hawthorne, I feel like your older brother..."
"What about my brother? Did he...?" Vincent Hawthorne also paused, choosing his words carefully. "Was he inappropriate with you?"
Faye seemed to hold back. "Not exactly, but... he seems a bit strange."
