"Wyatt, are you even human?!"
Concerned for Faye Vaughn's feelings and worried that saying certain things in the hospital room might upset her, Finn Hawthorne forcefully dragged his older brother out. "You, come with me! I already beat up Vincent today, and now it's your turn!"
Wyatt Hawthorne knew they had misunderstood, but he was the one who'd caused the misunderstanding and had no intention of clearing it up just yet.
He straightened his clothes and walked out of the hospital room with Finn.
Vincent Hawthorne remained in the room.
He pulled over a chair and, fearing that Faye Vaughn might now have a fear of men, deliberately sat down two or three steps away from her bed.
Faye Vaughn watched him in silence, her reddened eyes shimmering with tears.
These were involuntary tears that had welled up from her earlier struggle with Wyatt Hawthorne.
But to Vincent Hawthorne, they looked like tears of distress and pain.
