Skylar left Alucard with Sumi and Taka, getting a day creature to watch them closely and make sure that if anything happened, Alucard would be safe. Skylar asked around and found Dracule near the castle, sharpening her sword. Elizabeth is still at her side.
"Dracule!" Skylar made her way over. Darcy looked up, her eyes sharp. Elizabeth looked up, both surprised and concerned. "I need your help."
"And why the hell would you expect my help?" Dracule asked, sharpening her sword a little more aggressively. Elizabeth held Dracule's shoulders to try to ease her distrust.
"Because I think Sumi and Taka are going after Alucard," Skylar told her. Dracule's hand stopped abruptly at the sharpening of her sword. She didn't look up right away. Just froze in place. Her eyes didn't rise to meet Skylar's.
"... What?" Dracule's voice was stiff. She hadn't looked up, but her eyes were dangerous and dark. Something hid behind her eyes. Anger, ferocious protectiveness, maybe a mix of them all. Skylar couldn't tell, but one thing she knew was that she needed Dracule's help to protect Alucard.
"Yes, but I don't have anything that is proof, just a feeling," Skylar explained. "Even if I'm wrong, I want to make sure Alucard is safe. Which is why I came looking for you, and sent a day creature to keep watch while I came looking for you for help on this."
"What have they done so far?" Dracule demanded, her head hung low, the stone in her hand crushed in her inhuman grip.
"Besides aiming an arrow at my and Alucard's backs?" Skylar asked. Dracule raised her head quickly. "Not much, I still have a bad feeling about those two, even if they did only come here for knowledge on fighting vampires."
"And you want my help," Dracule more so stated than asked. "You need help in finding proof and getting Alucard help to stay safe."
"Yes, that is the biggest problem," Skylar said. Her hand was tight on the hilt of her sword. "And Alucard is giving them a chance, because your mother would have wanted him to give others that knowledge to help others."
"Fine," Dracule said, putting away her sword as she stood up. "You will get my help. But you need to tell me what the hell is going on, and what you can do. This daylight power of yours, and what the hell is with you?"
"No," Skylar said, her expression getting dark as the last time she and Dracule were talking. Dracule went stiff again. Elizabeth's eyes widened, and shock filled her bones. "I told you, Alucard isn't to know about what a Maki can do, and I can't tell you what I can do when you could go off and tell him the full extent of my power. I can't tell anyone, or show it- especially with Alucard!"
"That is no excuse," Dracule said, her voice trembling. Trying to hide her fear in her body.
"It is what I am telling you, no more, no less," Skylar said, her eyes dark. "This is to help Alucard, not tell secrets."
With that, Skylar left, and Dracule was left standing there with Skylar.
