Rebecca spun on her heel and stormed back toward the room, moving with the kind of speed that left no space for anyone else on the path she'd chosen. She rounded the corner and collided directly with Kristina.
"Ah!" Kristina stumbled backward, arms tightening instinctively around the tacos to keep them from hitting the floor.
"Are you blind?" Rebecca's voice came out sharp and immediate, no pause between the collision and the accusation. She shoved Kristina hard enough that she nearly went down entirely, dominance radiating off her in waves — the reflexive authority of someone who had learned early that offense was easier than accountability.
Kristina caught herself, steadied her footing, and checked the tacos before she checked herself. "I'm sorry — I didn't see you coming. It was just an accident."
