That afternoon, Asher Ryder returned from wherever he went, stepping into the house with a somewhat contemplative expression. He took off his outer coat, hung it on the beam, and turned to Ewan: "The areas near the mountains are already starting to freeze over. Winter is arriving earlier than usual this year."
"Much earlier?"
"Mhm, normally it would take about another month before those areas gradually freeze over."
"About how long until it snows?"
"Given this situation, probably less than half a month." Asher Ryder sat down next to him, warming his hands in front of the fire: "I took a trip through the intersections of The Heights of Lunaris Vale and The Crossing of Lunaris Vale. Vegetable prices have already doubled. People are starting to hoard food, and the prices for various seeds have skyrocketed as well."
