"We've arrived, everyone." said Yeshua, making both Matthew and I wake up from our sleep. I was leaning on his shoulder and he was leaning on my head. "'We've arrived' where?" asked John after the yawn that I heard at the back. "At Maria's house." answered Yeshua.
I quickly sat straight, looked outside and saw that we're now parked in front of my family's house, and Matthew was thrown onto the door of the van, making a loud thud sound. "Ow!"
"What happened?" asked Thomas concerningly. Simon blurted out laughter as I heard Andrew smack him. "Maria pushed Matthew," said Jaime calmly. I gotta admit, this happens often. To the point Jaime, John and Andrew were used to it. While it is funny to Simon every single time.
"Are you okay, Matthew?" asked Yeshua to Matthew. "I-I can't… get up." answered Matthew. And so both Jaime and I helped Matthew to get him back up his seat. "There will come a time that you'll be the death of me." said Matthew to me while he's now sitting beside me and caressing his head. "Sorry." I apologized softly.
"Why-why are we in Maria's house?" asked Andrew. "Well, her father asked not to make her stay later than 10PM. So…" answered Yeshua to Andrew while He's now looking at him. Yeshua then looked at me and said, "It's now 8:15PM. You still have time, Maria." said Yeshua with a smile. I raised both my eyebrows, blinked, then came to my senses.
Matthew then quickly moved beside Jaime then Simon opened the door of the van. I quickly got out and when I was gonna walk away from the van I turned around and asked, "Would you guys like to eat before you go?" with a smile on my face. "Move, Simon! I miss Auntie's cooking!" said Andrew as he tried to push away Simon.
Yeshua chuckled, then said, "We'd love to, Maria." He then got off the van and closed the door of the passenger's seat, and so did Simon. Andrew then quickly got off the van as well, followed by Matthew, then Jaime and John. "Where can I park the van?" asked Thomas after John closed the door of the van and after he rolled down the window.
I pointed at our garage. "Just follow the car at our garage." I answered Thomas. He nodded then began to drive the van to park it following my father's car. Then I walked towards the front door, and before I could even knock… "Maria!"
"Grandma?!"
"Oh, Maria! Where have you been!? I was waiting for you!" and tears are filling up my eyes right now. I utter no words. I did not answer her questions. I simply hugged her. I hugged my Grandma whom I missed so much. "What's happeni— oh." asked Dad but stopped in the middle as soon as he saw me with Grandma. And maybe when he noticed Yeshua and the boys behind me.
"Good Evening." greet Yeshua to my Dad. Grandma and I finally let go of our hug and she then wiped my tears. "Good Evening, Uncle!" greet Andrew happily. "Evening, Uncle." greet Simon. "Uhm, Uncle, if you all don't mind…" said Jaime. "We brought a plus one, Uncle." continued John, then Thomas showed himself to Dad.
I quickly looked at Dad's reaction, and as expected — he was shocked.
