A week has passed since Grandma visited last Sunday and we met Thomas near the mountains. After a few days since that day when Yeshua blessed our household, the oil spill was cleared and Dad's job and other fishermen were back on track. Mom was offered a more stable and secured job. Then Alice now had income from her talent in art. Our financial status is now more stable and secured, which means Grandma will be coming back to live in our house soon.
A lot happened within the week and now, Thomas is staying at Andrew's apartment and I am now on my way to the port. I don't have classes this Saturday and John told me that they'll gather there.
As soon as I arrived at the port, "There you are, Maria!" greet Yeshua as He walks towards me while I am also walking towards Him. "What took you so long?!" asked John impatiently. I just made a face towards him then smiled at Yeshua. "Come, I'll share something with all of you," said Yeshua while smiling at me. I quickly leaned my bike to one of the crates and ran towards where the others were.
"Who…?" I asked as soon as I noticed someone new from the boys. "Oh, hi! I'm Jude." said the new guy beside Andrew. "He just got here," said Andrew. Jude looked at Andrew, pointed at him awkwardly then looked back at me, "Yeah. I-I uh-just got here." said Jude. I smiled at him and reached for his hand to shake it, Jude reached back and we shook hands.
"Now that all is known to one another, I want to share something with you all," said Yeshua as we gathered in front of Him then took a seat at the already arranged crates for us to sit on. "Who among you reads The Book?" asked Yeshua. None answered Him, instead we looked at each other. "Oh. I-I meant the Bible. The Holy Bible." added Yeshua. "Me." answered Matthew, making all of us look at him and saw him raising his hand. "Good to know, Matthew," said Yeshua with a smile. "Well, I could've been reading it as well, but I have to fish," whispered Simon then he crossed his arms. "But you could've made time for it," whispered back Andrew to his brother.
"Have you already read the Psalms?" asked Yeshua to Matthew. "I haven't gone to read the Psalms yet, Teacher. I just began reading the Bible and read the Gospel of Matthew," answered Matthew. "Ah. Of course, your namesake," said Yeshua then He chuckled. "The thing that I want to share with you all is from the Psalms. To be specific, 2 verses from Psalm 18," said Yeshua as He looked at each one of us, "The first verse, verse 48: 'He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.' How would you interpret this?" asked Yeshua with a smile.
I blinked at Yeshua then looked at the boys and saw that they were also looking at each other and me. Jude then raised his hand, "Yes, Jude?" Yeshua said, "Psalm 18 was written by David and-uhm… he-he was saved by God from his enemies who were violent," answered Jude. Huh. He knows? "Why didn't you tell us that you also read the Bible, Jude?" asked Yeshua again. Oh, so he reads.
Jude just shook his head while awkwardly smiling at Yeshua. Yeshua chuckled at Him. "It's okay, Jude," said Yeshua with a smile. "Jude's answer is correct. However, it can also be interpreted in another way. David wrote Psalm 18 when he was on the run from King Saul who sought to kill him," said Yeshua then took a step towards His left, "In this age, the enemy is not only a person anymore. Your enemies can also be your pride. Your ego. Your shame. Guilt. Anger. And other negative emotions that can take over the body. Which then could become the drive on how one will think and act."
Yeshua then took two steps towards His right, "And the violent man isn't always a person who can be seen with human eyes, but it is someone OR something that cannot be seen commonly. Yet it is able to cause harm to the spirit," then Yeshua took a step towards His left, going back to His original place. "People may not feel it physically but the harm that it caused can exhaust the body without even doing anything towards it."
