"Genova, you're here."
"Elle est pour le moins morose..."
"Yael, did you win against Konstantin? Tami said you were fighting him."
"I did my best. I am severely wounded. But I'll be fine."
"Genova has questions for you. Go ahead."
"First off, we think Ismael is here. Secondly, I know you've talked to him at some point. And I want to know what he told you."
"Oh, so you think you want to know? Fine. I asked him about having a family and kids later in life, and he said he'd rather kill himself than live this life, that it wasn't for him. I asked him about you, and his entire mindset changed, as if his admiration towards you had shifted his emotional bzlance, bypassing every logic. I asked him, curious to know, how long would he spent with you, given the chance."
"H...his response?" Genova was visibly shaking, her entire life on the line.
"A quick decade."
Genova fell to the floor, crying,
"He really was thinking of me."
"Now, is the moment you might regret asking me. Are you going to kill him?"
Genova, out of herself, did not reply.
"He's in there. Next room, no door. Just get in. He's about to leave in the Nephilim realm anyway. Apparently, it is the one place that will not collapse."
Genova rose and walked, covered in tears and sweat. She entered and looked inside, seeing Ismael reading books to pass time, to gain knowledge.
"Ismael?"
"Yeah?"
"I...hi."
"Last time, I know you wanted to protect yourself. And if you wish to kill me, I...you smell and look like a Neph."
"Geulsang Zhao helped me, a Lunatic attacked me, and-"
"Geulsang Zhao is here?!"
Genova was at a loss for words, thinking that he cared more about his friend than her.
"I gotta see him!"
As he was listening closely, he decided to enter as well, smiling at him.
"You dog! You've made it back to me!"
"I always would have, you know."
"Hey, Ismael, I thought we could catch up. Tami will kill me if I don't kill you in the next few hours, and Cankt will decimate me if I try to kill you miss the shot."
"I left at the school because I didn't want to hurt you. Even though I did. You'll havr to forgive me on this one, but I don't intend to die anytime soon. I've had a vision when I killed you, and I've seen a place I want to reach."
"Exactly! I thought we should find a way to get rid of the Lunatics."
"We? They won't hurt me, from what I understand."
"Cankt will try."
"And she will fail. Miserably."
"I don't understand. What are you going to do about them?"
"Nothing. I'll leave before they arrive and lose myself in this space. Nothing else matters."
"But Ismael, we could be one."
"There will only be one person up there, and it will be me. End of it."
"But I...I did all this thinking that we could..."
"The whole time, Genova. The whole nightmare long, I was alive, counscious of my murders, my deaths, my flaws. I know what I did. I know I deserve death, but right now, I deserve what was given to me, it seems."
"Yael told me you said to her that you'd wanted to be with me."
"Sure, but did you ask her when I said that? It was a long time ago, when I was with Awane, Karin and Grant. It's too far gone, now. Long gone into nothingness. I only wish to rot away and dissociate until I disappear. The perfect, painless death. I hold nothing against you, not disdain, not rage, no regret either. What I did, I did it because I was the one that I was at the moment, and the context is to be taken into account. I did admire you, yes. Back then, as immature as I was, I was looking up to the flawless execution of people. Even friends. So as I was tracking and chasing you down, I grew accustomed to your being. Your eyes, your hair, your perfection. But it did wither as I lived my own life, dead, blind and lost. Broken, neat and scarred. I refuse to take the cyanide, I will go easy in this higher plan of existence."
"Okay. I'll leave you alone, then. I'll try to kill the Lunatics. Wherever you roam, don't forget about me. Don't forget what you grew accustomed to. A quick decade might flow like a second in your new home."
"I won't forget about you, Genova."
She walked, empty, and at the doorless entrance shaped like a medieval castle, she abruptly bumped into someone, and looking up, her entire face, expressionless, was now filled to the brim with utter despair, an additional layer of complexification that suddenly warped the situation.
"Angelicide", Esia called.
"She's asking for you, Ismael", Genova announced, shaking.
"Ismael, shens the strongest of all Lunatics. She's the one who killed Nara."
Esia, a tall, redhead woman carrying a red cape on her back, walked to his position in a calm, decided manner. Genova had stepped to the side, bowing down her head.
"Good morning, Esia."
"Good morning, Angelicide."
"How can I help you?"
"I asked my Lunatics to stop chasing you. You do understand that this comes at a price, right?"
"No. It does not. My life does not revolve around yours. What doctrine are you following? To think that way, even though the world is ending."
"My own. Order must follow through, apocalypse or not."
"I hate them, you know. The eulogies that sang me to sleep, not knowing the Lord. During the long exile, I had to resort to prayers to know my way, and not just physically but spritually."
"When you reach the space up there, the Terminal, you'll do so alone?"
"Yes, why?"
"I simply thought it would be strange for an angelicide and the one he once called his "angel", to not kill her, and what's more, to spend eternity with her."
"Well..."
"You didn't think of that? It is your nickname, you know. The Terminal is for anyone that has had the vision. For the next few hours that are left, you'll have to wait until Genova has the vision. If she does not, she'll die here alone in this library."
