"I hope you can calm the people of Medina when they find out the Sacred Room is no longer inhabited. I… still don't have the courage to tell Cadfael and the others."
Luca looked genuinely surprised. "The life fairy merged with your soul, and now you have two spiritual seas?" His eyes softened with pride. "That's incredible. I'm truly happy for you. As for Medina, don't worry. I'll handle it."
"You're not angry?"
"Why would I be?" Luca replied gently. "Didn't I tell you? Everything I have is yours. You're free to use or take anything."
"But the Sacred Room…"
"It belongs to my younger sister and her descendants," he said calmly. "But I'm sure she wouldn't mind. In the past seven generations, only a handful have even been able to enter it."
