Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: The Wolf Boy of Wolvendom

He's practically my Prince Charming!

However, as soon as the thought crossed her mind, Fischl regretted it.

In her own lore, Immernachtreich seemed to have only one kingdom, and she was its Princess.

Alright, so here's the problem: if Orion was a prince, what was his relationship to her?

Fischl grew up in Mondstadt, where no one was crowned king. The only thing that could be considered a governing body in Mondstadt was the Knights of Favonius, but the Knights of Favonius were more like a neighborhood committee in terms of governing the country. The true ruler of Mondstadt should be the Anemo God, Barbatos.

To put it bluntly, Mondstadt is currently in a state of 'monarchical offline' governance. If one were to trace the relationships between kings, princesses, and princes, it would likely go back to the Old Mondstadt era. However, the ruler of Old Mondstadt was also the God of Storms, Decarabian, who, like the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, was not human, and there was no concept of princesses or princes for them.

This left Fischl momentarily caught in a strange thought process, like: 'This uncle knows both my mom and dad, so should I call him uncle (paternal) or uncle (maternal)?'

'—So, if Orion is a prince, do we become siblings?'

'—No, absolutely not!'

Fischl's sharp intellect took over at this moment. The four words 'Prince Charming' that were about to blurt out suddenly retracted, replaced by another sentence: "A meritorious rescue! Truly worthy of being my attendant — This Princess's personal knight, [Crown of Raven Feathers] Horsley!"

"Who is that?!"

Hearing Fischl look at his face and utter an unrelated surname, even Orion couldn't maintain his composure.

However, he reacted quickly. Horsley, Orion, alright, alright, Princess, your divination skills are too strong.

And a personal knight? Orion glanced at the dozen or so Night Ravens who were savagely attacking Hilichurls and a Pyro Abyss Mage with Bennett. So that's it, if he can lead the Knights of Favonius, then isn't he the most powerful knight? So, in Fischl's eyes, the most powerful knight is her own personal knight?

So, he played along, bowing slightly and placing his right hand over his chest: "Indeed, have you recognized me? Your esteemed Princess, I am Horsley, the *personal* knight who *personally* attended to your daily needs, dressing, washing, and even telling you bedtime stories in Fischl's castle. However, we once agreed that in this world, you could only call me by my alias — Orion."

Oz was greatly shocked. A master! He can even match her wavelength. This young man is truly moldable talent.

Fischl, meanwhile, was completely red-faced. She hadn't expected that simply feeling a slight difference between 'knight' and 'prince,' and adding 'personal' to bridge the gap, would somehow turn into being 'personal' for daily needs, dressing, and sleeping!

She secretly glanced at Orion's model.

Well, it doesn't seem bad.

At this moment, Bennett and Leon and their companions in front had also eliminated all enemies, then excitedly bounced over: "Your Royal Highness! And Big Brother, oh no, no, it's Knight Big Brother! The Knights of Immernachtreich are amazing! I feel like they're no worse than the Knights of Favonius!"

Fischl covered her mouth with one hand and let out her Demoiselle's three-stage laugh: "Oh hahahaha! Naturally, these are all the most capable knights of my Immernachtreich."

The twelve Night Ravens, lined up neatly beside them, responded in unison: "Yes! Your Highness!"

The sound startled Fischl, but she immediately showed an excited expression and began to ask each Night Raven for its name.

These Night Ravens were naturally not real Night Ravens, or taken from the 3.8 island version. Instead, they were created by Orion, who rarely used several Divine Authorities. So, strictly speaking, they were more like highly intelligent mechanical lifeforms. Each one contained a miniature atomic power core, and if they deemed it necessary, they could even fire rays similar to Atomic Breath, though they would enter hibernation after firing.

Although creating these Night Ravens was just a whim, it suddenly gave Orion some inspiration: if he ever truly established a relationship with someone in the future, could he try to use Divine Authority to enhance their abilities?

For example, adding a remote guidance system to Baron Bunny, and then enhancing its explosive power and so on.

Soon, the Princess remembered all the Night Ravens' names based on the stone patterns and abrasions on each one. Orion thought she would ask for a few to keep by her side, but she didn't.

She truly understood the boundary between fantasy and reality. She knew that these were not from her element abilities like Oz, but rather materialized by Orion in some way.

Therefore, she couldn't whimsically ask Orion for ownership of these Night Ravens.

But still... "Arnold! Leon! Clear the way for This Princess!"

"Yes!"

But taking over control to enjoy it for a while was perfectly fine!

Four Night Ravens formed a sedan chair, allowing Fischl to sit on it. Her Royal Highness then let out strange laughter, holding a fan she got from who knows where, pointing forward: "Oh hahahaha! Let's go!"

Amy had never laughed so freely in eighteen years.

Orion walked with his hands behind his back, chatting and laughing with Bennett beside the sedan chair, looking exactly like a sightseeing tour group.

Just after eight Night Raven knights had annihilated three more Hilichurl camps, a flash of lightning appeared before everyone.

The sudden lightning and the figure that emerged from it startled Amy. Bennett also quickly adopted a defensive stance.

The Night Raven guards quickly formed a defensive formation, but Orion stepped forward and waved his hand: "Calm down, it's not an enemy."

The lightning dissipated, and a white-haired young man wearing a hood and holding a greatsword appeared before everyone.

He put the greatsword on his back, slowly walked to Orion's side, and suddenly sniffed: "Eh? You, body, Traveler smell, very strong, her Lupical?"

Orion leaned back defensively. He could smell that?

Well, being wrapped up in her every night, the scent would naturally be strong!

Fischl and Bennett also rushed over, only to see Orion talking to the young man in front of them.

"You're Razor, right? Yes, I am Lumine's Lupical. So you've already met Lumine?"

Bennett quietly asked, "What does Lupical mean?"

Orion quietly replied, "It's similar to family; among wolves, it refers to someone close."

Razor's eyes lit up. To be honest, he rarely met someone who could communicate with him without obstacles on their first meeting. This warm-looking big brother even knew what Lupical meant!

Later, in his conversation with Razor, Orion learned that Lumine had secretly completed Razor's story quest and even opened the Wolf King's trial.

Perhaps because Skirk and Orion were both too strong, Lumine, who was used to seeing such things, hadn't told them about Andrius's trial. Based on his understanding of Lumine, she probably wanted to secretly train until she could easily solo Andrius before shocking everyone.

And Razor's reason for coming this time was also simple: the commotion caused by Fischl ordering the Night Ravens to attack was too great, interfering with the wolf pack's hunting.

Fischl felt a little embarrassed, but Orion thought this matter was not difficult to resolve.

"Razor, in human society, it's normal to compensate for losses when apologizing for causing them. Let the Night Ravens help you hunt some boars, but we also need your help with something."

After speaking, Orion directly left two Night Ravens behind, sending the rest to hunt boars. He also pointed out a hillside not far from Stormterrors Lair where there was an abundance of boars, telling the Night Ravens to hunt more.

As for Razor, didn't he just find a guide for Andrius's trial!
