After Orion released her hand, This Princess rubbed her slightly sweaty little hands, her face flushed. However, the green eye not covered by the eyepatch darted around, not daring to meet Orion's gaze.
Oz, the Night Raven, hovered in the air nearby, lowering his head slightly and gently reminding her, "Miss, it's time for your self-introduction."
"I know!" Her Royal Highness replied in a very small voice, then straightened her back again, covering her mouth with a clenched right fist and clearing her throat softly. Then—
A graceful turn!
This Princess twisted her body into a beautiful S-shape, fully showcasing the curve of her waist.
She turned slightly sideways, raising her right hand high and placing her arm across her head, while her left hand was positioned at an angle that perfectly covered her mouth.
This angle was perfectly controlled! If This Princess's self-introduction was to be delivered with grandeur, her mouth had to open wide enough, and her arm just happened to block it. This way, no matter how wide her mouth opened, it wouldn't appear inelegant. It was clear she had practiced this many times in front of a mirror.
"I am Fischl, the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, sovereign of the Immernachtreich! Today, I have answered the call, to bring eternal and undying glory to my subjects!
By this glory, illuminate your path forward!"
Oz also spun a graceful circle nearby and translated, "My lady means that I will explore the terrain of Wolvendom with you all and fulfill my duties as an archer."
Orion was greatly astonished; these lines indeed felt more impactful in reality than in the game. He quickly nudged Bennett beside him and led the applause.
Bennett found this utterly delightful; the client was so interesting. He also happily clapped.
Thus, led by Orion, the three walked out of Mondstadt City towards Wolvendom.
"Brother Orion, what is our main objective for this exploration of Wolvendom?" Bennett felt that Orion was much taller than himself, so he started calling him 'Brother'.
Orion felt a bit unaccustomed to being called 'Brother', but he still answered first, "Legend has it that deep within Wolvendom resides an ancient God, a wisp of residual soul left behind by the North Wind God, Boreas, who sacrificed himself.
Mondstadt City is currently in a time of trouble, and any possibility that can help Mondstadt City must be strived for."
I'm lying to you, I'm just a little greedy for the God's power.
But these words, heard by Bennett and Fischl, had a completely different meaning.
Such a major event as confronting Stormterror was too distant for ordinary Adventurers like them, yet this sunny and handsome big brother in red was already doing his part to save Mondstadt?
The disparity in their breadth of thought was immediately apparent.
Although they didn't say it aloud, they both secretly resolved that they too must contribute to Mondstadt!
During the subsequent journey, Orion continued to bless them both with anemo element power for increased speed. Both were amused and astonished by Orion's miraculous power, while only Oz, after searching for a while for a Vision on Orion, looked thoughtful.
They walked and stopped along the way, and Orion opened many treasure chests en route.
Are there elemental monuments here? Hit them.
Are there a few torches here? Light them.
Are there two round stone platforms here? Stand on one each.
Under Bennett's starry-eyed gaze, Orion opened one treasure chest after another.
Common ones, exquisite ones, and even a few precious ones!
Fischl was merely increasingly surprised, while Bennett was so moved that tears streamed down his face.
Folks, I haven't found as many treasure chests in a month of adventuring as I have this afternoon.
Especially when Orion stated, as if it were only natural: "Of course, the items in the treasure chests are evenly divided, right? You both contributed, come on, come and get your Mora."
Bennett, in tears, wanted to become sworn brothers with Orion.
"Bro! Big Brother Orion!!!"
"Oh, since you're calling me Big Bro, what more can I say? Brother, take this bag of Mora!"
Fischl stood by, holding her share of Mora, utterly dumbfounded.
So emotional.
In less than two hours, Bennett had become Orion's number one fan.
The group walked further and finally encountered their first Hilichurl camp next to a lake just before entering Wolvendom, which also contained a pyro Abyss Mage.
Upon seeing this, Fischl immediately knew it was her turn to perform!
She immediately said to Orion and Bennett, "In the first clash between two armies, Oz and I shall sound the war drums.
You two shall follow in my footsteps and join me in performing the song of triumph!"
With that, her nimble body performed several flips, like a fish leaping out of water, gracefully flying through the air. The next second, Oz and Fischl transformed into a flash of lightning, soaring towards the distant Hilichurl camp.
Bennett watched, greatly excited: "So amazing! As expected of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung!"
Orion also nodded, looking at Bennett: So amazing, as expected of the only person in all of Mondstadt who believed in Fischl's identity as the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, so pure.
Back on the front line, the Night Raven formed by Fischl, carrying electric arcs, swept the two archer Hilichurls off the watchtower to the ground, then landed herself with a graceful turn.
The Abyss Mage, who was making lunch, and the group of Hilichurls all looked over. Fischl held one hand across her chest, and the other hand blocked her left eye, which was covered by an eyepatch. Her middle and ring fingers were separated, revealing the pattern on the eyepatch: "You minions of the chaotic abyss, This Princess has come for the King of Wolves, and also hopes to add a stroke from Immernachtreich to the Slay my nemesis, the evil dragon Tazrak.! (Tazrak, the evil dragon, my sworn enemy)
Your turbid souls shall be taken by me to Immernachtreich, that you may rest in peace!"
The Hilichurls quickly reacted, cursing in Hilichurlian and charging forward.
Suddenly, flames flickered in the sky; Bennett had activated his Elemental Burst. His Sword, burning with fire, heavily struck the ground, and a giant 'thumbs-up' gesture appeared. Fischl immediately felt her power surge!
She drew her bow and fired arrows, and soon several Hilichurls fell under the lightning.
The close-range Hilichurls were handled by Bennett.
At this moment, Orion also sauntered over. He originally thought there was no need to waste time here, and he would quickly clear the area for them and continue on their way.
However, when Bennett saw that Orion didn't even have a weapon, he quickly shielded him behind him: "Big Bro Orion, you just stay back and provide us with shields, it's too dangerous upfront, just leave it to me!"
Orion looked at Bennett's reliable back, and then at Fischl, who, though not speaking, clearly conveyed the same meaning in her eyes. He shook his head at these two foolish yet upright children.
Bennett, originally from Natlan, lost his real parents in the Sea of Ashes, a replica of the Abyss, , and his fate star was derailed from Teyvat's sky, leading to continuous bad luck.
In Teyvat, as long as one's fate star stays on the correct trajectory, one's life will be smooth. Once the fate star's trajectory deviates, one's destiny will fluctuate, and Bennett is an extreme example of this; he can only celebrate his birthday once every four years.
Yet, despite this, this guy grew into such an incredibly upright character, it's no exaggeration to call it a miracle.
Fischl's parents were both Adventurers. Although her family was happy and her parents had good personalities, due to their prolonged absence for work during her childhood, she had to spend her time alone in the library, where she discovered settings like the Prinzessin der Verurteilung and Oz from novels.
Gradually, she immersed herself in the identity of the Prinzessin der Verurteilung and began role-playing day after day. Her parents even praised her for such childlike self-entertainment.
Until her fourteenth birthday, when Fischl, during a morning greeting to her "Father King" and "Mother Queen," received incredibly gentle yet realistic words from her exhausted parents due to work: "Amy, you're a big girl now, don't believe in fairy tales anymore." The absence of her parents during childhood and the misunderstanding of her chuunibyou by other children around her turned what should have been a night of peaceful blessings into one of silent tears in the rain.
That night, the gaze of the Gods descended, and Oz manifested from a Vision.
Both of them are good children, but both have their own misfortunes.
If Bennett hadn't been raised with such a sunny disposition by the 'old dads,' he might have leaped from some high place after a string of unlucky adventures.
The same goes for Fischl; she doesn't genuinely confuse reality and fantasy, but she needs to believe in such a fantasy.
For such wonderful people, Orion felt that since he had already transmigrated, it wouldn't hurt to maintain the beauty of their dreams.
While Orion was distracted, Fischl and Bennett cleared out a large group of Hilichurls, but the commotion at one camp quickly attracted more monsters.
Orion looked at their backs and gently called out, "Your Highness, Prinzessin, and Captain Bennett, I only stated my name, did I not properly introduce where I come from?"
Both turned back simultaneously, their eyes showing confusion, wondering why he would say such things at this moment.
But immediately after, Orion answered with his actions.
He extended one hand forward: "Guardians of the Kingdom, I have found Her Highness Fischl, the owner of the Immernachtreich, and Lord Oz. Now, there are also petty villains attempting to harm the supreme!
You all, why do you not quickly come to my aid?!"
These few sentences completely bewildered Fischl; she even forgot to maintain her chuunibyou tone: "Huh? Wh-what guardians? What aid?"
No sooner had she spoken than a purple flash of lightning streaked across, and countless dark figures descended from high in the sky.
"Knight Leon comes to aid!"
"Arnold, reporting for duty!"
Twelve Night Ravens, transformed from stone carvings, descended from the sky, surrounding Fischl and the other two.
One of the Night Ravens, wearing an iron bucket on its head, shouted, "Knights, charge with me!!!"
"Oh oh oh oh oh oh!!!"
Bennett stared blankly as the Night Ravens and Hilichurls clashed. He trembled all over and shouted, "So cool!!!" Then he charged forward to buff the Night Ravens.
Orion smiled, looking at the happy Bennett. He always felt that seeing characters, who were like old friends, happy, made him happy for some reason.
There's no need to say more about the six-star Pyro God Bennett; as for Fischl, he just spoils her that much.
A level 100 Fischl player!
Then, he turned his head to look at Fischl's expression, but as soon as he turned, he saw Fischl almost touching him at zero distance.
Those star-flecked emerald eyes were fixed intently on his face, making Orion feel a bit uncomfortable.
Fischl's feelings at this moment were even harder to describe in words.
She looked at Orion's handsome face and recalled how he had just commanded the scene.
He is simply my prince!!!
