Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Coronation

As the dragon's body shook, countless grayish-white crystals fell away, revealing the giant dragon's brand new form before everyone.

Its originally vibrant green feathers had now turned crimson red. The scabs formed by the overflowing poisonous blood on its neck had completely healed, and its back was no longer its weakness.

Its four dragon claws gripped the ground; the sharp black tips could split stone in two with just a light touch. Its size had also increased; the demonic dragon was now a massive three hundred and fifty meters long.

Behind it, three pairs of massive dragon wings spread open. The wings, which were originally like beautiful stained glass, had now turned blood-red. Furthermore, faint, pupil-like shapes appeared within each color block.

[Name: Dvalin, Crown of the Dragon King

Race: Elemental Dragon King (Incomplete)

Identity: Anemo Elemental Dragon King (Incomplete)

Affiliation: Teyvat/Abyss

Archon's Clearance (Incomplete): anemo element/Wild Anemo Element

Description: Formerly the Dragon of the East Wind of Mondstadt, the East Wind Guardian of Mondstadt.

Amidst the howling Withered Wind, the great power of the Void Realm has crowned it, and the Anemo Clearance, long without a master, has returned to its rightful place.

Now the time for judgment has arrived. The usurper of the Heavenly Wind must pay the price for his transgression!

God of Anemo, the incomplete gem in the center of this crown shall be completed by your life!]

The demonic dragon roared, and the Withered Wind spread around its body. Countless flowers and plants instantly withered upon contact with the Withered Wind.

In the distance, Skirk's expression became much more serious as she looked at Stormterror.

She could feel that it was her previous attack that had prompted the demonic dragon to break out of its cocoon and undergo metamorphosis.

The Extreme Evil Technique, at the moment it inflicted DMG, also seized a large amount of Abyssal Power from the Akasha to strike the opponent. If Stormterror had been in its normal state then, or even in its current appearance, her attack should have inflicted normal DMG.

But the demonic dragon just now happened to be stuck in its shell. Her strike coincidentally provided the conditions for it to break out, and the overflowing Abyssal Power acted as a catalyst for its transformation.

But that's fine; it's not an unbeatable enemy.

Skirk opened her eyes again, and twin swords reappeared in her hands. However, her clothing instantly changed color, shifting from its original white motif to predominantly purple, and a fish-tail-like train condensed behind her.

This form was the same one she had used when she first met Orion.

[Extreme Evil Technique: Annihilation]

The hilts of the twin swords merged into one, forming a double-bladed longsword in Skirk's hand. Her long high heels lifted off the ground, and Skirk shot into the air, as if freed from the constraints of gravity, rushing toward Stormterror.

The demonic dragon no longer showed any fear. Facing Skirk charging head-on, Stormterror spread its wings, and several Wind Cones condensed from gales shot out, only to be avoided by Skirk's extremely agile movements.

Turning around, Skirk reached a distance close enough to the demonic dragon. She held the double-bladed longsword horizontally, using the rotation of her upper body to drive her waist, and then spinning her entire body, as if dancing in the air.

Yet this dance concealed danger like the sharp thorns of a rose. Amidst the fluttering, the double-bladed longsword was thrown out, slicing toward Stormterror's head like a boomerang.

But for Dvalin, the demonic dragon who had completed its coronation and become half an Anemo Elemental Dragon King, using a ranged attack against it was the biggest mistake!

The trajectory of the flying Ice Blade suddenly became highly unstable. It was finally shattered back into two Ice Blades and spun back toward Skirk.

Skirk naturally wouldn't be hit by her own attack. She flipped over and caught the two Ice Blades, then dodged several pursuing Withered Wind Projectiles like a fish swimming in water. As she absorbed several black, crack-like objects in the air, Skirk charged toward Stormterror again.

Jean and the others in the distance looked serious when they saw Skirk's attack rebound and strike back at her.

It must be said that the God of Anemo understood his own clearance best. Venti opened his mouth to clarify for everyone: "Dvalin has now completed his coronation, becoming the oldest symbol of the anemo element in Teyvat, possessing the Anemo Clearance, which, though incomplete, is sufficient for use.

Aside from the Authority held in my hands, he now possesses almost absolute control over all Anemo elemental power in Teyvat

airflow, air pressure. Naturally, he has plenty of ways to deal with ranged attacks."

"Absolute control..." Paimon rubbed her chin, suddenly realizing something: "Then his next target isn't you, is it? If he eats you, can he take the God of Anemo's power for himself and become an invincible Anemo entity?"

Venti nodded: "Theoretically, yes."

But immediately after, Venti, though smiling, spoke to Lumine with a serious tone: "So, if Dvalin attacks me later, Lumine, you must kill me."

Lumine looked earnestly at Venti: "I won't do that, but I still need a reason. Why are you saying this?"

Venti gave a helpless smile: "Gods die, but the Divine Throne does not vanish.

As long as the position of the God of Anemo is preserved, Dvalin, as an Elemental Dragon, cannot completely seize the God of Anemo's clearance. Until the next God of Anemo is elected, this clearance will be kept by Celestia. Then we will still have hope of defeating the Abyss and saving Dvalin."

Hearing this, Jean frowned deeply: "Lord Venti, but..."

"No buts." Venti raised his hand to stop Jean: "Jean, Acting Grand Master, you are an excellent Knight of Favonius. Even if Varka is absent, I believe you can protect Mondstadt and lead it to victory.

And the key to victory..."

Venti looked at Lumine again.

"Lumine, you possess a wondrous power. I can sense that your vessel is like a dried-up stream, and it needs power to nourish it.

For you, the various powers of Teyvat, and even the power of the Abyss, are merely river water flowing in from different tributaries; they will eventually flow toward the same ocean.

Your Elemental Affinity is extraordinary. It is different from the elemental power simulated by Skirk, and different from the power Orion seems to have seized but doesn't quite know how to use. You can perfectly bear every ounce of power.

Therefore, I want to ask you, when the time is right, to temporarily take over the Authority of the God of Anemo!"

Venti's eyes were filled with affection for Mondstadt.

"I beg you, protect this beautiful city for me."

The weight of his words left everyone present speechless.

Just then, an anomaly occurred on the battlefield.

Frost and snow gathered, and fractured traces appeared in the Akasha. Skirk once again used her Elemental Burst

[Extreme Evil Technique: Zenith].

On the other side, the power of the Withered Wind gathered in Stormterror's mouth. The Dragon species of Teyvat do not have a defined breath attack skill, but this did not mean it couldn't use breath attacks!

[Roar of the Withered Wind]!

The two immense energies collided, and the shockwave rippled out in layers.

In just an instant, all flowers, plants, and buildings within a three-kilometer radius centered on the impact point were crushed into dust.

Although Skirk did not lose ground, the powerful shockwave and massive area of effect forced her to temporarily retreat. Stormterror, however, stabilized itself using its weight and size advantage, immediately took flight, and headed toward the direction of the tower.

"Be on guard!"

At Jean's command, everyone drew their weapons to face Stormterror, and Venti even prepared himself to impale himself directly on Lumine's sacrificial sword.

But the next moment, the giant dragon simply flew right over their heads.

Everyone:???

Were we too small? Did it not see us just now?

That was not the case. Stormterror ascended to the top of the tall tower and began flying in circles. Before long, it summoned a Wind Barrier that enveloped the entire Stormterrors Lair, and then it flew away.

Everyone:???????

Afterward, a beam of purple light shot out from the three-kilometer ruin toward the Wind Barrier. The purple light collided with the Wind Barrier, erupting in five intense flashes within a single second.

Skirk then landed beside the group and said: "He summoned this Barrier while I was defending. The DEF of this Barrier is much stronger than the Barrier of the tall tower before. I can break it, but it will take time."

Diluc frowned: "So he wants to trap us here? But doesn't he need the God of Anemo's Authority to become stronger?"

Everyone was completely puzzled.

Just then, Rosaria, from the Taciturn Duo, suddenly spoke in her world-weary voice: "Is there a possibility that the irrational Stormterror can't recognize who Totobas is

"

"My name is Barbatos."

"Sorry, can't recognize who Bato... who the God of Anemo is. Did he simply sense where there was powerful strength or clearance and fly toward that spot?"

"Ah..."

Venti scratched his head. Was he too weak, then?

Seeing the way everyone was looking at him, Venti tapped his head: "Ehe~ I survived!"

"What do you mean, 'Ehe'!"

However, a new problem had now emerged.

"But if he's not coming for me, where else could he go to absorb power?" Venti rubbed his chin, unable to think of a logical explanation.

Just then, Svarog suddenly pointed toward Wolvendom: "I also sensed a massive power in that direction. Based on calculations, it is also related to the anemo element."

"That is the direction of Wolvendom," Jean said. "Speaking of which, Lumine recently awakened the Wolf King's Trial."

Venti suddenly understood: "Perhaps someone activated the Trial at this time? So he's heading toward Andrius, then. That's certainly possible; after all, it's the residual power of a God, and it has value for absorption.

More importantly, there shouldn't be anything else related to Anemo Clearance within Mondstadt besides me and Andrius, right?"

But as soon as Venti finished speaking, cold sweat beaded on Lumine and Paimon's foreheads.

They slowly turned to look at each other, the words Orion had spoken that morning flashing through their minds.

This is a tiny bit of Anemo Clearance obtained from another world. This way, when we are gone, this Holy Relic can ensure Mondstadt won't suffer great calamities.

""sky harp!!!""

The direction Stormterror flew

that was the direction of Mondstadt City.

The situation was critical.
