The tension in Allen's stare was thick enough to break my wits. But at this point, it wasn't only Allen that was looking at me. Lilith.
Lilith was staring at me too. I noticed it only because I could almost taste the malicious energy coming from him.
There was something uncanny about the way he looked at me that made the hairs on my skin stand. Those sharp blue eyes were staring daggers at me, and I had no idea what I had done to deserve that look.
Then suddenly, the announcer's voice rang through the hall.
"Announcing the arrival of Alpha Adrien of the Northern Star."
Everyone stood up.
Immediately alpha Adrien walked in, all I could think about was the image of rotting flesh and the smell of blood.
There was something strange about him. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn't good for my stomach because I was two seconds away from emptying my bowels.
Adrien walked straight toward the king and stopped in front of him. Then he bowed his head respectfully.
