Chapter 383 - GAM Ch 383: People Only Cherish Good Times After Losing Them

"There is another girl's scent. Garfield, where did you go."

Hmm.

This little pink thing was a bit off.

Garfield felt like he had been caught by his girlfriend chatting with other girls.

Something was not right.

This was really not right.

"Lacus, you are acting strange today. Are you sick."

Lacus looked at Garfield with a strange expression, not saying anything but just staring at him.

Cat, what was going on.

Never mind, he would just tell the truth.

Going to see Meer was not a big deal anyway.

"I went to check on Meer's training."

Meer.

Lacus said the name naturally.

The girl who was originally intended to be her substitute, through several communications and conversations, Lacus had discovered that Meer was actually a very nice and cute little sister, especially because she looked very similar to her.

If the two of them came out together, they would definitely be mistaken for sisters.

More importantly, even though Meer was a year younger than her, her development was better than hers.

It was so frustrating.

"It is Meer. Meer is so pretty, is she not."

Garfield nodded. "She is also very smart, but too kind. I tested Meer today, and I have decided to change my strategy."

Huh.

Lacus was very curious now.

What was her orange cat, who claimed to be a god but actually seemed to be one, going to do.

"Meer's path is different from yours, so the two of you will not be on the same track in the future."

Lacus tilted her head. "Cat."

Garfield squatted down in front of Lacus, gesturing with his paw as he explained. "Your current thinking is still that of a dove, and it deviates greatly from my future plans. Although Meer is also kind and innocent, her ideas can be changed. I intend to train her to be a queen."

A queen.

Lacus thought of the queens of some countries in history books.

These were rare.

There were far fewer queens in Earth's history, and they all left a significant mark on history.

Their stories and legends were far more numerous than those of ordinary emperors, and they were full of various legendary tales that inspired longing.

Furthermore, Lacus felt that Garfield's sudden change in Meer's training direction was wrong.

Meer was not secretly trained by the Clyne family.

She was not a pet.

Why did Garfield say that in front of her.

Could it be.

Lacus looked at Garfield suspiciously, then asked, "Garfield, you are not interested in Meer, are you. She is not even ten years old yet. You will go to jail for this."

Thump.

Garfield raised a paw and smacked the little pink head that was leaning close to him, then lectured her. "Little pinky, what are you thinking. Do you think I am that kind of cat. She is just a little girl."

"All these years of hard work have been for your own good. Do you want to be utterly defeated in the future war between PLANT and Earth, or do you want to resolve the conflict once and for all."

War was the last thing Lacus wanted to see.

If war broke out, many families would be torn apart, wives and children separated.

PLANT's population was not large to begin with.

Who knew what would happen if another war broke out.

"Garfield, are you not a god. You should be able to stop the war, right."

Garfield nodded. "I can, but that is just treating the symptoms, not the root cause. You know."

Lacus said, "Please enlighten me."

Garfield stood up, put his front paws behind his back, looking very knowledgeable, and transformed back, pacing around while giving instruction to his obedient little pink student in front of him.

"The essence of war, besides interests, is conflict. Interests are actually quite simple. Let us start with the unscrupulous arms dealers behind the Earth Alliance. For their own capital and profits, they do not hesitate to do things behind the scenes to intensify existing conflicts between nations and ethnic groups, making them bigger and more serious, so as to sell their weapons and gain profits."

"You also know about the conflict between Naturals and Coordinators. The emergence of Coordinators has increased the survival pressure on Naturals, causing many Naturals to lose a lot. Do not think of it as just a job. This job is their livelihood."

Lacus nodded obediently in agreement. "I know that, Garfield. You taught me that."

Garfield was satisfied with the little pink's interjection, indicating that she remembered, but he continued. "The conflict of war exists because those people seize upon it and continuously expand it until it becomes unacceptable to the public."

"In this way, the entire society will be burdened by the resentment caused by this conflict, bringing invisible pressure. This force needs to be channeled."

"War is the best outlet for them and also the most satisfying thing for those behind the scenes."

"Lacus, remember. Simply fantasizing about peace will not bring it. Even now, most people yearn for peace, but until a sufficient price is paid, even if peace arrives, they will not know how to cherish it until the invisible pressure within them cannot be released."

"There is a saying that goes, people only truly cherish the good times they once had when they have completely lost them."

Loss.

Lacus knew what she had lost.

Her mother.

That was why she disliked war, hated war, and sought a peaceful solution with her father.

Their intentions were good, and their efforts were effective, but as Garfield said, your enemy does not want peace with you until you pay a sufficient price.

Watching Lacus recount her painful experiences, Garfield continued. "Dictatorship is not all tyranny. It can solve the problem of unequal resource allocation and suppress some conflicts outside of war through administrative and legal means."

"You know there are many conflicts between Naturals and Coordinators, but they are not very apparent within a certain major Earth Federation. Do you know why."

Lacus asked, "Why."

"That is the benefit of a country's policies and laws. If you turn all the countries on Earth and the current PLANT into one of your provinces, there will be no conflicts between countries. If you learn from a certain model, the conflicts will gradually dissipate."

Garfield took out a miscellaneous book he had picked up when he was bored. "Little pinky, come here. Now I will tell you why countries, ethnic groups, and domestic and foreign entities have different views and results on the same thing."

Lacus obediently took out her notebook and began to take notes.

Garfield's captivating, pillar like voice echoed from the adorable orange cat's mouth, reverberating in Lacus's room.

The little pink cat's eyes widened, and her ears perked up, listening intently and taking notes.

The harmonious master disciple relationship continued.
