Snow gently fell from the skies, blanketing a gigantic forest, thick and full of winter life.
Lakes strewn across the forest stood frozen, the largest predators sunk into deep hibernation, allowing the lower echelons of life to freely roam.
The skies were a greyish white, and the snow-covered trees beneath were as well.
Winds gently blew, and the trees swayed.

In the depths of this forest, a small wooden cabin could be seen. It sat atop an elevated bed of rocks, its porch rather clean and warm, with lit candles placed near the entry.
The cabin's door opened, and a tall, burly man walked out, closely followed by a little boy. Both were covered in thick layers of winter gear.
The man was as tall as he seemed burly, his frame free of any fat and thick with aged, powerful muscle. His face was square, sharp, and angular, his jaw seemingly polished from stone and covered in a pristine dark brown beard.
