The sun rise, giving Raye and the party a nostalgic heat that they hadn't felt in ages. They got up and packed their stuff, they had bread that they gotten inside the dungeon for breakfast, then resumed their journey to the kingdom of Sahhara.
"Let's visit the Glauos city in the dune to claim our rewards,"
Raye suggested that as they walked under the scotching hot sun.
"I heard that before, that city was builded under a dead gigantic beast's rib cage in ancient time,"
Al replied back as he took out a cigarette and got instantly lit by the sun.
"Will, have you heard about this city back then?"
"..., city under a dead gigantic beast's rib cage, I do have a vague memory hearing about it, it was said that the legendary hero party defeated that gigantic beast and saved the merchants working in the dune,"
Raye:"The legendary hero party defeated it? that's so cool!"
Will:"Yea, the king of the Kingdom of Sahhara couldn't thank the hero enough that he offered the meat of that beast to the hero, during that time, the peoples of the Kingdom of Sahhara didn't need to worried about the lack of meat for 10 years!"
Al:"Thanks for that extra knowledge..."
Raye:"Look, that seems to be a commotion just down our path,"
Al:"Commotion sure happened all the time just when I was about to relax after conquering a dungeon..."
They reached towards the crowd that was gathering at a tall pyramid. It seems that there is a hero party trying to crack the ancient code set by the ancient people long ago.
"Stand back, I will crack this ancient code once and for all!"
A hero then raised his sword and use fire magic and hit the metal plate that was on the ground. The metal plate was heated just for a little while but then returned to its normal state.
"Is he really gonna crack this code?"
"I doubt that,"
"Let's leave,"
"Wait, I promise, I can crack this code, damn it!"
The hero that kneel down in defeat.
"Come on Riche, lets go, you're embarrassing yourself and the whole party,"
One of the mage from that hero's party spoke to him, asking him to leave.
"No, I shall crack this code today, and I won't give up until then!"
"Riche, we have been staying in Glauos city nearly almost a month! Just give up and continue out journey,"
"Never!"
Raye and the party approached them after the crowd left.
Raye:"Oh, this pyramid's ancient code, I heard about this before, it was said that during the ancient time, the pharaoh that used to ruled over the dune asked his men to write a code to solved for the future generation, those who crack his code shall receive his wealth he left behind,"
Riche:"You there, fellow hero, you understand the thrill of solving a puzzle that hasn't been able to solved over a few centuries, please, tell my party member how the thrill feels to solve one,"
"Don't mind doing so, our captain Riche is just obsessed with ancient stuff, we are his party member, I'm Jessy, the mage, he's Edward the tank, that's Mikana our priest, and Fabio a mage again, we are the Enigma, known for actually cracking mysteries,"
Raye:"I take that your party name was named by your captain, I'm Raye, the hero and the captain of this party, That's Al our priest, and Will, our mage, and uh, we don't have a party name yet.."
They greeted each other and chatted for a while.
Fabio:"Wait, I think I heard about you guys, you are the party that conquered the dungeon in the dune right?"
Mikana:"Really? That's so cool!"
Raye:"Yes, word sure do spread fast,"
Riche:"Tell me, is there any code or riddles in the deeper part of the dungeon? Maybe, a hidden treasure created by the dungeon that was meant to trick you..."
Raye:"None of that, really...."
Will walked to the plate that Riche tried to heat with his sword. There is an ancient text above the plate, it was mostly worn up and unreadable. Somehow, Will is able to make out some of the words.
Will:"This.. is ancient Athena, day....shine...treasure....,"
Riche:"Wait, you can read those words? What does it say? Ancient Athena? I heard about those before, I learned it, but the ancient text are so worn out I can't read it,"
Will:"..., I know how to solve it, who have a mirror?"
Raye:"Are you sure you can solve it Will? What do you think the text said?"
Will:"Trust me Raye, who has a mirror?"
Jessy:"I do, but what do you need it for?"
Will:"Thank you,"
Will then stand at a specific area and hold the mirror in a certain angle. The sun light shined onto the mirror which reflected onto the plate that Riche tried to heat up with his sword. The plate got hotter and hotter, suddenly, loud thud can be heard and it unlocked a secret passage that leads inside the pyramid.
Riche:"The puzzle... has been solved, tell me good sir, how did you figure this out?"
Will:"Huh? I just uses the words I see and think of the riddle myself, I guessed the riddle said 'During day, ray shall shine onto the plate that leads to the hidden treasure of the ancient pharaoh,' "
Riche:"During day.... ray shall shine...hidden treasure..., are you implying that during the sun is hot, by using a reflective item to reflect the sun light onto that plate?"
Will:"Precisely,"
Riche:"Such simple riddle, could took us month to solve...no worry, now lets unravel the treasure of the ancient pharaoh!"
Jessy:"Good grief, sorry Raye but...I know you guys are the one who solve the riddle, but can you guys let Riche take a look?"
Raye:"Sure thing, I don't mind,"
Jessy:"Thank you very much Raye, come on, Raye let us take a look at the hidden treasure, go thank him,"
Riche:"Thank you very much, Mr Raye..."
Raye:"You are quite nice to your captain even if you guys hate his enthusiast in mystery solving,"
Jessy:"Oh please, I know Riche since childhood, beside, we are called Enigma, solving mystery is kind of our thing,"
Riche:"Lets enter!"
Jessy:"Slow down- damn it,"
Raye chuckled and they all entered the pyramid. The pyramid wasn't big itself, the secret passage instantly leads to the pharaoh tomb.
Riche:"Where's that treasure, was it all a lie?"
Jessy:"Chill Riche, maybe the treasure is hidden as well,"
They searched the whole room and found nothing.
Riche:"so it was all a lie..."
Will:"...,"
Will then pushed the pharaoh's tomb opened.
Raye:"What are you doing?"
Will:"I found it,"
Raye:"What?"
The dead pharaoh was lying inside the tomb, dead. It was holding a golden cup, or a holy grail.
Will picked it up and blew off the dust.
Will:"Holy grail, rumors said that whoever drinks from it will be cured from any diseases,"
Riche:"Holy grail...this golden cup, red gem sticked onto it, so beautiful..."
Al:"Holy grail? An ancient myth that actually existed? What will we do with this?"
Raye:"Let's keep it, selling it might go onto the wrong hand,"
Al:"You're right,"
They left the pyramid and both party bid off.
Riche:"as much I want to keep the holy grail for myself, it is you guys that solved the riddle and found the treasure, we will met again next time, and that next time, the Enigma will not lose to you!"
Jessy:"Come on Riche, let's go!"
Riche:"Until fate brings us again, farewell,"
Raye:"Adieu,"
They parted ways and continue each of their journey.
