**Cave Entrance – Twilight.**
The group stood at the threshold.
Three portals—perfect black circles rimmed in cold blue light—hung in the rock face like wounds in the world.
Not caves.
Portals.
Straight lines of darkness inside glowing rings.
No bottom.
No end.
Just void—and faint blue pulse.
Kaito stared from the cockpit.
"…It's not a cave."
Mio's voice—low.
"Yes. It's a portal. But inside… cave-like structure. So we call them caves."
Hasegawa raised a gloved hand.
Three fingers.
"Three teams."
She pointed.
"Kim Ji, Hyung—take your soldiers. First portal."
Kim Ji saluted—sharp.
"Yes, ma'am."
"Jin-young, Min-young—second portal. Your squad."
Jin-young nodded once.
"Understood."
Hasegawa looked up at the mech.
"Kaito. Mio. Remaining soldiers—with me. Third portal."
Kaito gripped the controls.
Mio exhaled—slow.
Hasegawa turned to all of them.
"From this point… safety is not guaranteed."
The words hung.
Every face changed.
Kim Ji—jaw tight, eyes forward.
Hyung— relaxed fingers on blade.
Min-young—fingers flexing on her rifel.
Jin-young—small nod to her.
Hasegawa—looking front, long breathing.
Mio—eyes on the portal—determined.
Kaito—swallowed.
The camera cut—slow pan across every face.
One by one.
Eyes wide.
Breath held.
Fear.
Resolve.
Silence.
Then—movement.
Three teams.
Three paths.
Into the dark.

**Team 1 – Hasegawa, Kaito, Mio + soldiers**
The mech stepped through.
Inside—pitch black.
Only blue crystal veins in the walls—pulsing slowly, like dying heartbeats.
Air thick—toxic, heavy.
Masks hissed—filters working.
Gravity felt wrong.
Kaito shifted.
"Gravity's… different here."
Mio nodded.
"Yeah. Feels heavier. Lighter. Both at once."
No sound.
Footsteps muffled.
Even breathing—distant.
Hasegawa raised a fist.
"Stay alert. Attack can come anytime."
Soldiers shifted—rifles up, fingers near triggers.
Two magazines taped together—ready reload.
They moved forward.
Crystal light flickered—blue, cold.
Dead bodies appeared—scattered.
Not humans.
Mana monsters—split open, cores shattered, purple blood dried black.
Hasegawa paused.
"…Someone was here before us."
They kept moving.
Deeper.

**Team 2 – Min-young, Jin-young + soldiers**
Same dark.
Same blue glow.
Min-young and Jin-young walked side by side—silent at first.
Jin-young glanced at her.
"Mina… how you feeling?"
She kept eyes forward.
"Why? Another teasing thing?"
He shook his head—serious.
"No. Honest. You scared?"
She exhaled.
"A little."
Jin-young smiled—small.
"You're like a child."
She kicked his shin—light.
"Shut up."
Soldiers behind chuckled.
One whispered.
"We got stuck with a lovey-dovey couple."
Another laughed.
"If males weren't extinct… I'd have a boyfriend too."
A third snorted.
"But boys don't like muscle girls."
Laughter—quiet, nervous.
Jin-young stopped suddenly.
Everyone stopped.
He looked around.
They were still at the entrance.
Same blue glow.
Same rock formation.
He turned.
"We're… looping."
Min-young's eyes widened.
"What?"
Soldiers muttered—scared.
Jin-young looked back.
The path behind them—gone.
Just wall.
They were trapped.
In a maze.

**Team 3 – Kim Ji, Hyung + soldiers**
Walking in silence.
Hyung kept glancing at his hand—the one Kim Ji grabbed earlier.
Kim Ji stared ahead—expression blank.
Soldiers whispered.
"What's with the awkward silence between them?"
Another shrugged.
"Love problems?"
They turned left.
Kept walking.
Hyung cleared his throat.
"I think… we should just admit it's awkward."
Kim Ji glanced at him—small.
Silence again.
A soldier laughed—trying to break it.
"Okay—if we stay quiet like this, I'll get bored. Can't focus."
Hyung nodded.
"Let's try something. Identify three sounds that aren't our boots on the ground."
Soldier groaned.
"Seriously? Exam vibes?"
Laughter—soft.
Kim Ji chuckled—barely audible.
Hyung smiled—embarrassed.
They turned left again.
And froze.
Same spot.
Same entrance.
Same blue glow.
They were trapped.
In a maze.
