After Conrad entered his room, he first took a shower and then sat down on his chair to think about the current matters in his hands.
First of all, the Deep Point has now become more important to him to understand it is a mystery. It did not help his goal of "Creational Condition" as it was already being fulfilled, as he feels the cold every time he goes around and does not use aura to protect himself from it much.
But, for such things as Deep Point, back in Viridian Vein, he feels like they are training grounds for him to prepare himself for the Dark Continent.
If he cannot find a way to deal with exploring the Deep Point without getting harmed much from it, how would he be able to deal with the dangers in the Dark Continent?
It is not realistic and not possible.
"The danger is mostly because of octopuses. I can deal with them if they are only capable of using physical force against me."
"But, due to environment, they may have aura usage that they are not aware of themselves."
Conrad closed his eyes for a moment and nodded.
"It seems like the best course of action is just to try anyway and think while I am in the deep."
Conrad knew that this was contradictory to what he thought before, but it was a little bit different.
Instead of teleporting directly to the bottom, he preferred to go down slowly like his orb and then decide on what to do in the course of action.
It was also best for him to gain experience dealing with environmental problems that he might encounter in the future.
"Okay."
"It is decided then." Conrad said to himself; he looked outside, to the city and the people that lived inside of it.
More than half of all the people who live in the Cradle City are miners and mining-related professionals who are given knowledge here or from outside.
So, there were not many people that lingered around the city, and people worked like machines.
"Humans are great when it comes to such things." Conrad commented and then rested for some time and then left to go to Deep Point again.
Several hours later, Conrad looked at the deep black pit again and then nodded; he had already prepared the orb before coming here, the Pulse Orb that was destroyed.
With his cane in his hand, he landed on one of the orbs, and the other two orbited him like protectors, and then he started going down.
While he went down, he started using Gyo to see better in the pitch black.
Second, he used Gyo, and the darkness started becoming lighter, and he was able to see without much of a problem.
Of course, it was not totally clean, but it was still great enough.
His, En, was also activated fully; he manipulated his En to focus more on the down instead of up.
Right now, his total range is around one hundred meters in diameter, lower than Zeno and Neferpitou but higher than Kite, which is a great feat.
As a manipulator, his control of nen is better than most of the nen users'; he excelled at it to a great degree compared to the others.
With his mastery over nen, it was not hard to manipulate his "en" to focus on the downside; the remaining "en" range was separated into looking at the dangers from up and around himself.
With high-level focus, he kept going down.
In several minutes, he passed the several hundred meters and continued.
As he started seeing the blue ice plants, grasses, or whatever the name of these weird organic cold plants that grew in these parts, he nodded.
"I should be getting closer to those octopuses."
"I will see if they are going to attack me or not."
Conrad thought and then continued going. From every kind of perspective, his state was nightmare fuel, inside of a deep pit more than five hundred meters down, in complete pitch black, surrounded by cold and weird five-meter octopuses.
It is not something for the weak of heart at all.
After some time later, he stopped for a moment, and then the Pulse Orb activated for a moment; the second it was activated, Conrad's eyes turned to the left downside, and then he noticed two octopuses with big blue eyes looking at him with interest.
"Oh..."
"They do have some aura; despite it being almost negligible, it must still have great effects on their bodies."
Conrad concluded.
"So, they are capable of using nen to some degree even if they are not aware of it."
"I was right!"
Conrad took a deep breath and felt that the cold air around him increased; the temperature felt like -50 instead of -40.
"I can keep going."
"After some time, I can find some side caves in the deep to stay and rest for some time."
Conrad continued going down, while his eyes kept on watching the octopuses.
They too were watching him but never tried to do something.
If Conrad wanted, he could go from the middle and have fifty meters of distance between them, but he did not do it.
If these octopuses wanted to attack him, he wanted to see under what rules and conditions they would attack and test his power.
As Conrad kept on going, he passed the mark of one km.
"Okay."
"Let's place an 'ancient script' here, just to not get lost."
Conrad bit his finger and placed one drop of blood on one of the ancient scripts he prepared before leaving his room and went close to the wall on the right side of the pit and then, after injecting nen into the paper. He took a deep breath.
"The drop of blood is the condition for me to feel where the "Location Ancient Script Papers" or "Location Papers" are, as well as some aura."
"It is only effective when I get in the range of 1.5 km of it and for about ten days of time."
With the limitations, everything was completed.
Conrad believed that if nen abilities were skills of a game character that one could always use and train, Ancient Script abilities are simple scrolls, one-time use only in most cases, and demanded more aura for even the smallest effects.
"Let's go down!" he kept on going while continuing to look for dangers and interesting things all around him.
