Conrad knew that these octopuses acted differently than just ordinary animals.
But, of course, his understanding of animals is more limited to animals on Earth instead of getting used to magical beast-type creatures in this world.
"The knowledge of their action depends on the object and creature that are there."
"They only prefer and decide to attack when an object wants to leave."
Five-meter-tall octopuses would need a lot of food and would be a lot more powerful; considering they are also capable of living outside of the sea biome, it changes most of the things he knew about these creatures.
"I should tread carefully."
Conrad trusted himself, and he knew that with his speed and physical capability, these huge octopuses have no way to catch him, but it does not mean that they may have some sort of an unorthodox ability that can affect him.
The reason for his creational conditions and why the end result is about resistance towards heat, cold, and poison is because of this particular reason.
Having counter capabilities affects more than just power.
"Now."
"The Pulse Orb needs to be created again; the White Death Orb and Aura Blast Orb are not that great when it comes to sensing the general area."
Conrad thought.
"But I can kill them with White Death or Aura Blast."
"Five meters or not, they are not capable of blocking attacks from each orb at all."
Conrad smiled and shook his head.
"It is never good to decide on killing a new creature."
"Unless it is needed, I should not kill creatures; respecting life is a great habit." Conrad said to himself.
He is aware of the facts that power brings more selfish actions in an individual who is not prepared for it.
If he were to act to kill first and ask questions later, it would be not that great for his future actions.
What would be the difference between him and the Phantom Troupe then? He did not want to turn into something like that.
"If killing is not a choice."
"I should focus on entering more deep areas of it."
Conrad thought of something.
"I think I can prepare an ancient script scroll that would tell me the depth of this area."
"An emitter symbol, with some enhancing symbols, should be able to do it, depending on the nen I inject into it."
Conrad thought and then looked around the wall.
The wall was mostly empty, and there was nobody who was watching him, which meant that he did not need to go back to the hotel to prepare the Ancient Script; he quickly took one page and then his pen.
"A simple condition and enough pen should suffice," he thought as he started writing.
"Ancient Script – The Depth Signal."
He made it so that when the ancient script paper reaches the end, it will send a NEN signal using emitter capabilities of the NEN that is powered by the enhancing capabilities.
He needed to program his nen to first act as an enhancer of the existing aura and then manipulate the paper sent to an emitter, a nen message to him about the depth of the area.
It is easy for him, but there are not many NEN users who are capable like him of doing something like that.
Conrad did not know for sure, but if it was known that he was capable of creating ancient scripts as he wished with his nen control and understanding, as well as natural ability coming from the fact that he was a transmigrated individual, everybody would want him in their organization.
"Okay..."
"Let's make it easier for the men to work."
"A drop of blood is needed for the sender to take the message." He also added a condition of a drop of blood to the ancient script. Second, he put the condition on the paper; it is needed for NEN to drop by half.
"Great."
Conrad hit the small wall beside him and took a piece of metal and wrapped the paper.
"Go on."
He then tossed the ancient script on Deep Point and started waiting.
There was an easier way to do this by calculating the sound, but from what he understood, the area blocks the sound to a high degree, so when the metal piece goes to the end, there will be no sound coming back.
It would be a mistake to think the world of Hunter x Hunter worked the same as the Earth.
Ten seconds, thirty seconds—more and more time passed while Conrad waited.
While he waited, he dozed off, and then after an unknown amount of time later, he felt a signal coming back to him.
"..."
"More than ten kilometers..."
Conrad took a deep breath.
"Now."
"That is not something I have expected."
Conrad thought something and then put his finger on his chin.
"Can it work?" he said to himself.
"Can I prepare another script that is connected to the first script so that I can teleport myself to the first script?"
"Something like Flying Thunder Jutsu from Naruto." Conrad thought and laughed as he thought.
"It can work."
"But it would be risky."
"I don't know what kind of creatures or environment exists in the deepness of ten thousand meters."
"It is like Mount Everest from upside down..."
Conrad took a deep breath and shook his head.
"Nah."
"I do not need to risk myself just to explore this place."
"I have time and resources in my hand; I can go slowly but more safely."
Conrad then looked one more time to the deep and decided to leave the area for the day and study what he understood about the deep point and then document his findings.
He could not help but think that there are no hunters who have explored this Deep Point, for it is creatures.
There must be many hunters who are strange creature and magical beast hunters that would like to explore these things, but they have not explored them.
In a sense, the octopus creature living in Deep Point is officially discovered by him.
"If I had more nen, I could count this as a creational condition too, but it is not needed."
"There is no need to complicate the matters..." Conrad thought and then went to his hotel room to study and think more to come up with a plan to explore the Deep Point.
